We all KNEW this would eventually happen, if the EBC didn't act. And it didn't. It turned a blind eye to Israel's BLATANT cheating - buoyed on by the right - "it's not cheatin, the dong was ... fine/good". They've killed it.

And I think if Germany were to actually pull out over Israel’s disqualification, they’d probably have said by now and all we’ve had is speculation from an Israeli source about it.

Germany won’t pull out. too lucrative a nights ratings for so little money.

They’ll never support the ban tho. They are FAR too scared about being accused of antisemitism by the Israelis. They will do literally anything possible to ignore Israeli war crimes if it means they can avoid accusations of „oh so things haven’t changed since 1945“

As part of your application to citizenship here in Germany you have to acknowledge Israel’s right to exist and that you uphold Germanys special historical responsibility post WW2 to never again (except Israel of course, they can do a genocide but no one else can)

So when the votes are cast they are unpersuadable

I think Morocco should announce their comeback- conditional on the genociders exclusion - and bring a few friends from around the Mediterranean who are eligible but have never participated because of Israel

Because even if it does got the way we want it to, a lot of countries are preparing their NF’s at that point, and they’re gonna have to wait that long to find out if they’re even gonna participate because of Israel’s potential participation?

The only reason I can think of is that they were doing their age old trick of sticking their head in the sand and hoping one way or another the war would be over and no decision would have to be made, totally unaware of the obvious fact that it was only gonna get worse and now we're basically stuck with 2 camps and a few floating in the middle.

The hypocrisy is so painful to watch unfold and I truly believe we are seeing the demise of at least this edition one way or another. Whilst I don't see many countries pulling out because Israel is out (despite the rumours), the outrage at either decision and the following mudfight in the media will not be pretty.

I would say poor Austria, but they did call the broadcasters who spoke uo against Israel stupid and dumb, so they can rot as well. As the host they should've kept their mouth shut
