Thanks Dan and everyone for having me as your house guest. I always really enjoy listening and voting whereas I find participating slightly stressful, so I’m going down the route of only participating in the retro contests but voting more or less anywhere that will have me.

I had no idea whether my votes would be way out of line with anyone else’s so pleased they weren’t and that I gave the top two 10 and 7 respectively. Congratulations leww.

perhaps helps that I as host got to pick the theme but I do think it was a very strong edition - Yotto who got only 1 point off me would've had a good deal more in most other contests. glad we got a good deal of variety too.

honestly idk if my song even counted as house although you could make the argument that it’s more on the chill house side of things, I just went with something that was in my BJSC potentials vault and just hoped it stuck 💀 kinda glad everyone more or less had a liberal take on the concept or else idk how I would have survived. Thanks to everyone for 4th (my 10th top 5 placement!), a good recovery after bottom half in the previous edition and it’s one of my most frequent placings 😜

Well done Leww! Long overdue win after a couple of close runners up in the past. And even better, it was my +12 which doesn't happen all too often in this contest. Pretty good top 10 too, voted for half of it. Justice for Brer though that was not a deserving last placer.

Pleased with a top 10 finish, only my second ever in the lower half of top 10 (and the other one also coincidentally finished 9th way back in volume 14). I see it was the usual big points or no points for the most part!

A quick scan of the archive thread tells me it's just the 4th time we've had a sub-100 point winner. And it's the joint 3rd lowest winning score, with the lowest still remaining Dan's first winner from volume 9 with 89 points!

Thank you so much! I really loved this song but thought it would be another of my 10-15 finishes because it’s a bit more basic or standard and usually CB favours the quirky, but I’m really glad it’s resonated.

St. Germain in 2nd spot is wonderful too as that’s one of my all-time fave songs (my first email address ever was inspired by the album it’s from haha).

Thought the quality this edition was v good, well done everyone!

Happy to return to the top 10 again without necessarily going out of my comfort zone. The original version of my entry was considered one of the best dance/electronic songs in 2019, and although I wasn't particularly interested in melodic/progressive music in 2021, I was surprisingly impressed by Drumstone's remix.
