^ Yeah exactly, and I had to draw the line somewhere! The list of "gold" and "silver" number ones really isn't extensive at all, it would have only added three songs: 'Silence Is Golden' by The Treme

MJ now lagging behind in 7th place, looks like it's going to be between All Saints, Chappell, Nena & Eiffel 65!

There's also Kaiser Chiefs - Ruby that would fall under the same bracket as those!

Maybe save that for the "Jewel" themed #1s that contain words like Diamond, Sapphire, Pearl, Jade, Topaz, Amber etc etc.

The list of "gold" and "silver" number ones really isn't extensive at all, it would have only added three songs: 'Silence Is Golden' by The Tremeloes (which would have been a bit contentious anyway), Freda Payne's 'Band Of Gold' and 'Silver Lady' by David Soul. Personally I wouldn't have voted for any of those (though I do quite like the Freda song).

I think we'd literally just be voting between Ruby and two different songs called Diamonds and that's it 🤣

Voted for The Marcels, Eiffel 65 and MCR. Would have added Freda Payne and The Kaisers if they'd been allowed.

I wonder if a certain Ed single could challenge for this when released on Friday! Probably not but still it was amusing timing. 😄

Would be so funny if he reading this thread 🤣

Side note: shouldn't 'Pink Pony Club' have "2025" beside as the year it made #1? Even if it entered the chart in 2024 and is a 2020 song
