I hope Sabrina can remain at number 1 on Spotify. Fingers crossed, she puts an end to Alex’s reign at the top

I've just heard two girls in Starbucks in Grimsby singing the "is it... stupid or is it... slow?" part of Manchild, so it's official. Manchild is TAKING OVER the coffee community, so I think it's on

  • I've been much less successful at chart predictions in 2025 (so far) than last year but this is a bit freaky! today's Spotify chart: 193. The Stranglers - Golden Brown !!! I assume this has to be

Great for Sabrina. I think if she can stay top 3 most of the week - she could be in with a good shot at the official number 1!

Would not complain if 'Fame Is A Gun' can outpeak 'Diet Pepsi' x

Oh my at Ethel Cain actually charting on Spotify *.*

Think she will get the #1

Huge debut today, hard to tell these days when someone is gonna do well or have a floppy comebacks with 200K

Too bad her physicals are super expensive

Earlier in the year she only did 1K x the Busy woman vinyl

Easy number 1, not her best song but it was obvious she’ll be 1.

Ethel already charted midweek when the song was released and with no Nmf nada 😍

Considering the playlist support and the NMF boost pretty poor streams really

Not surprising anymore, it’s his 3rd in this era and nothing is smashing anyway, all around 200k, so that was expected.

Oh I know, I just didn't see that until last night.

Similar to the giver then that dropped big on day 2,

Only vinyls from what I can tell and 13 quid

The Giver was a country song and country doesn't normally do well in the UK the only reason it did so well was because it was chapel. Sabrina song is pop which as more appeal to the general public.

Im not saying she won't but im waiting for day 2 to get my hopes up that something might finally dethrone alex

Ehh, I don't doubt Sabrina will hold up better but a) 'Manchild' is also country influenced and b) this argument really doesn't hold as much weight as it did a few years ago, there have been a ton of successful country pop songs in the UK recently, it probably could have been a great move for Chappell if the song had been received better than it was.

If Manchild is on physical, Sabrina should decrease the price to help it go number 1 and I wonder if Diet Pepsi will get a reset

Pulp's 'Spike Island' sneaking into the low end of the top 200 on Apple (#193)! Don't remember if it appeared at all when it was first released.

in the US, Sabrina did >3 million on Spotify

I think it’s pretty big. 800k in this economy is like a million last year.

It all depends on day 2 for me, in this economy the biggest songs climb to their peak streams like Ordinary did. Still be no1 though as sales are quite low!

Saturday is always a big drop for new songs. It’s a very odd dynamic now where you never know how a song will do until about day 5 since Saturday and Sunday are unusual days. It’ll probably drop below Ordinary tomorrow for sure and may never be above again!
