I went on the gig on Friday 6h in Emirates! It was so cool! Robbie was fantastic and I really loved the C stage in the general admission. He was like 10m away :D

Nice to see lots of youngsters at the barrier there. We noticed how many men there were in the audience last Saturday - way more than 20 years ago

I am positive surprised how full the stadiums have been until now. Even Paris is sold out and France has never been his core audience

Really lovely article in The Irish Examiner about the Irish musicians The Oars & their experience with meeting Robbie & gigging with him on stage at Croke Park 😊

My Life with Eoin Coughlan: 'We played on stage with Robbie Williams in Croke Park'

Brian and I are lucky to have performed with some of Ireland’s most revered musicians, from Damien Dempsey to Paddy Casey.

Sarah Horgan

When Robbie Williams invited us to perform with him in front of 83,000 people in Croke Park I asked myself the same question any musician with an eight-year-old son would.

It was the mother of all predicaments. “Who are we going to get to babysit?” As it happened my wife was already going to the concert.

For as long as I can remember she has been an unwavering support to my bandmate Brian and I.

While she is my other half in life, Brian is my other half in music. Together we make up the musical duo otherwise known as the Oars.

Playing alongside Robbie Williams as part of his 2025 Britpop tour was an opportunity not to be missed and I didn’t want my wife to miss out either.

Luckily, we needn’t have worried, given that Séamie had scooped a coveted place on the guestlist.

Brian and I are lucky to have performed with some of Ireland’s most revered musicians, from Damien Dempsey to Paddy Casey.

I’m a songwriter and guitarist while Brian is a multi-instrumentalist. Our latest album, released in January 2024, was recorded and produced in Louisiana by multi-Grammy winner Dirk Powell.

On this occasion, Robbie’s musical director made contact with another musical director in Ireland. He checked us out and liked what we did.

We played a private concert the day before the gig with some other musicians, including influencer Garron Noone.

There was a great connection between Robbie and the musicians. Despite his stratospheric success, he was as down to earth as they come.

I can’t say I even remember him having a rider.

My son Séamie, however, came with his own demands, or rather just the one!

“I’ll come to the concert dad,” he reassured me, “but can I just ask you one thing? Can you tell Robbie not to mention my name on stage.” That was when it hit us.

For Séamie, fame was a difficult concept to grasp. He had heard the name Robbie Williams being bandied about but assumed he was a friend.

Over the years he had received shoutouts on stage from countless musicians. It’s no wonder he assumed that this star would be no different.

I had no idea that my son’s request would become a running joke between the popstar and I.

“Please don’t mention my child’s name on stage,” I asked Robbie in mock desperation. The singer, however, wasn’t about to make any promises.

“It’s such a beautiful name,” he responded. “I’m going to have trouble not saying it.” The night before the gig we played a private party for himself and his dancers. There were 40-50 people singing and dancing with us as we jammed with his musicians.

Robbie was as normal as the rest of us. We got to know him and he got to know us. On the Saturday he hung out for about an hour in our dressing room.

He is also a wise man who has quite a philosophical outlook on life. In a short time he threw an arm around us and trusted us with what he was saying.

We were taken aback at the level of trust he demonstrated in terms of the personal details he disclosed.

The mutual respect was obvious from the beginning. He was very interested in our music. He also chatted about our kids and took an interest in hearing about our families.

We were touched by the way in which his team embraced us but the greatest honour of all was being invited into the dressing room for the pre-performance huddle.

Any musician will understand that this is such a sacred space. Getting the chance to be part of it was the highlight of the experience for me.

Brian and I have played significant shows and toured extensively around the world. We have played stadiums in the past so while this wasn’t our first rodeo, it was undoubtedly very special.

More importantly, it was a great opportunity for us to expand our fanbase and enjoy a unique experience we will savour for a long time to come.

I can honestly say that if Brian and I were asked to play alongside a star who wasn’t a nice person, we would probably refuse to play alongside them.

At the end of the day, we have a huge respect for music and connection. What we liked about working with Robbie Williams is that there was no false worshipping of the famous guy.  He was good craic and easy company, which we value above any awards or status. As soon as you begin speaking to somebody that well known, everything else just washes away.

You don’t see the celebrity anymore, but rather the good soul behind him. This was just another human like the rest of us who happened to be heading out on stage to thousands of screaming fans.

Some musicians might have found a gig of this scale daunting. Brian and I were just happy to be enjoying a sing song, albeit on a grander level, with some 83,000 people.

& so it's on to Bulgaria tonight. It seems it's ten years since he was last in Bulgaria . As nothing has been announced yet I am assuming Pt 2 of the tour will begin next year 🤷.

Pop icon Robbie Williams is returning to Bulgaria for the second time, this time performing in the capital, a decade after his last Bulgarian concert in Burgas. “You’ll find me at a stadium, entertaining the crowd until they’re exhausted,” the British pop bad boy promised ahead of his Robbie Williams Live world tour. Fans can expect a 22-song setlist, including some of his biggest global hits2025 , as Williams takes to the stage for over an hour and a half of high-energy performances.

The Sofia concert is already generating huge interest, with doors at the Vasil Levski National Stadium opening at 16:00. Bulgarian pop star Dara will warm up the crowd before Williams takes to the stage, joined by the British indie-pop band The Lottery Winners.

Really enjoyed The Lottery Winners as the main support act for this current part of the tour & the way they were incorporated into the show , it was a whole lot of fun . Lot's to look forward to it would seem in the coming months .

Did anyone manage to get tickets for the Camden gig . I hope fans managed to get tickets rather than being bought up by corporates etc . They need to come up with some other way of distributing tickets for gigs like these , it's not fair on the dedicated fans

I think it was one of the best concerts on this Tour, seen some moments and reaction was so warm!

Happy for Rob, go more ofter to Bulgaria

So it's Athens on Thursday and then Istambul on the 7th.

After that what do you think the Britpop Tour will become? Will be all arenas including South America?

Hard to know the timeline yet . I am thinking Long 90's gigs around album launch time next year ( maybe 1st/2nd qtr ) & then Britpop tour continued later in the year with South America ( arenas I guess , what has he done previously ) & then on to Australia / NZ towards the end of the year . I wonder if they will maybe change up the setlist for the Britpop tour & inc a couple of more songs from LTAL .

I do think he should include Human in his setlist , it's a great song & think it would go down well in stadiums .

Robbie Williams lived up to his famous promise, “Let me entertain you,” as he delivered an unforgettable performance for thousands of fans at the Panathenaic Stadium (Kallimarmaro) in Athens on Thursday night.

Two years after his last visit for the Rockwave Festival 2023, the British superstar returned as part of his “Live 2025 Tour.” Despite rain and an early rush, the venue was packed, with dedicated fans flocking to the center of Athens from the afternoon to secure the best spots. Williams took the stage around 9:00 PM.

Dressed in striking red, Williams immediately proved that his iconic energy hasn’t waned. His performance was a spectacular display of dancing, impressive stage figures, and his powerful, unmistakable voice. The show kicked off with the dynamic track “Rocket,” instantly getting the Greek audience singing and dancing.

For over an hour and a half, the singer held the crowd captivated, powering through a total set of 22 songs, including many of his biggest global hits.

As he once promised, “You will find me in a stadium, entertaining the audience until it is sold out,” and in Athens, he absolutely delivered a performance that lucky attendees will undoubtedly cherish for years to come.

Robbie Williams: The packed Kallimarmaro, the dedication to Mrs. Haido and Damiano David

image.png

Despite the bad weather, Robbie Williams' concert at the packed Kallimarmaro was as we expected - full of energy, atmospheric and with many funny moments.

On Thursday night (2/10) and despite the bad weather, Robbie Williams' concert took place at the Kallimarmaro, since fortunately for both the audience and himself at that time the rain that prevailed all day in Athens had stopped.

In the important things now and in what happened at the singer's concert, he as he mentioned always enjoys our hospitality and that is why he was looking forward to returning to our country to give a concert. After all, as he also admitted, the Greek au

dience is the only one who has appreciated his song "Me and my monkey", which is why last night he dedicated it to us again.##

The dedication to Mrs. Haido and Damiano David

As Robbie Williams usually does at his concerts, he also came into contact with the audience. He initially went down to the audience to sing a song together with his fans. There, however, Damiano David of Maneskin appeared "in front" of him, since one of the women in the audience had this singer in her mobile phone case. If anything, Robbie wondered who he is and if he is a celebrity in Greece - as well as why the fan didn't keep anything from his own merch.

As a proper gentleman too, Robbie, as we saw on TikTok, went viral when he dedicated "She's the one" to Mrs. Haido, telling her not to think about Kostas.

Last night's Robbie Williams He was wonderful once again. With a band and a sound that "killed" and with a voice brighter than last time

Robbie Williams: third and best!

image.png

Since last night I've been listening to Robbie (and I predict listening to it for some time to come). I had made a playlist of my favorites immediately after his previous concert in our country and I resorted to it after the excitement caused by yesterday's live. You see, I was also one of the lucky (and wasteful) ones and I had bought a front standing ticket. Last time I had "skimped" on it and regretted it.

In previous years, the "steamroller" Robbie Williams excited me with his creativity, with his songwriting, with his solo career (s.s. I never appreciated Take That as anything), with his popularity and with an unprecedented interpretive "quality" that was not highlighted within the boy-band. In recent years, I have been moved by the emotional way he approaches what he knows how to do best: being a great entertainer. To write it more clearly, I will resort to a cliché that I remember from elementary school:

Robbie, in the past, entertained his audiences, today he entertains them without the slightest discount on their entertainment. That; with prose between the songs and ingredients humor, self-sarcasm, story-telling and definitely a voice that is still in its prime.

If, dear reader, you belong to those who want to listen to Feel and Angels, it may be difficult for you to live it. Because, if you belong to the above, you may not realize any difficulties that the millionaire (for you) Robbie has gone through, you may not even realize your own difficulties and be alienated, like: "we didn't come here to tell us the story of your life – slow down the problems he has, so much money he makes". Keep in mind, my listener, that this particular (profitable) job is high on the lists of depressions, addictions and suicides.

For me, a person exposed in this way is always charming. I am interested in his case. If she is also an artist, one more reason. And this aspect of one of his concerts touches me much more than any setlist (which, in this case, was fantastic) and any extraordinary participation (Laura Pausini, last night). Because it comforts me for mine, because it makes me able to "see" behind the songs.

Last night's Robbie Williams was wonderful once again. With a band and sound that "killed" and with a voice brighter than last time. I will also give him in writing, therefore, my gratitude and the promise that every time he comes, I will be there. For today's Robbie more and less for the one in 2006.

P.S.1. Robbie Williams does not "fit" in the same sentence as. Anna Vissi.
P.S.2. For lovers of statistics follows the setlist.
