Posted June 12Jun 12 242 people are on the plane. Probably a lot are British BBC NewsPassenger plane crashes near airport in Ahmedabad, IndiaReports say the plane was heading to the UK - that has yet to be confirmed.

June 12Jun 12 Horrible tragedy - and horrible that it happened to crash in a populated area too. Somewhat incredible that there is a survivor, just cannot imagine what that would be like, lucky for him but being the only survivor of a disaster that killed 200 other people including your own brother, poor man.
June 12Jun 12 You CAN survive a plane crash. Didn't a woman walk away unscathed from another and it's said 3 people were still alive on the ground at Lockerbie but died of exposure.

June 12Jun 12 This is very bad. 242 on board including many families returning from holiday. 52 Britons. One survivor. Could be over 100 on ground, trainee Dr's.who were eating lunch at the time. Worst death toll ever - Tenerife 1977 when 2 planes collided and burst in to fames. 583 dead.
