Why’d Villa sell Malen, always looked decent. Or was he just on loan?

I wonder if Palace will stick with Glasner. They have a buffer from the bottom three but it’s not huge.

Wheels have completely come off the wagon now for them. No one playing for the club anymore and just counting down the days until the summer transfer window opens.

Do you reckon they're in the relegation battle the way their form is, I think they are.

No i don't think so, the bottom 3 are so far behind Palace just need the odd win every 4/5 games which their squad is more than capable of doing based on player quality alone. They play Burnley & Wolves at home back to back next month so that's 6 points virtually guaranteed.

I was shocked when I looked at the table yesterday and saw Crystal Palace in 15th place because I remembered that they were 4th at one point in December. Next season could be a relegation battle for them the way things are going with their best players and the manager leaving/wanting to leave.

In fairness to Palace they are just going back to where they were. They aren’t normally a club challenging for the top 8 and winning cups, been punching well above themselves which is thanks for glazner.

I reckon 78 points probably wins the league at the moment - bonkers!

There's no ruthless team in the league this season, whenever a team slips up the team right behind or front of them rarely takes full advantage. This is the case not just at the top but also in the battle for top 4 and relegation. In terms of the top a ruthless team would be at least 10 points clear with all the draws and defeats that have happened. Even Aston Villa who have the longest winning streak at 8 games have messed up at the critical time to be much closer to top spot.

Table is extremely condensed after the top 3. Was a similar story with Bournemouth think they were second at one point in September/October then a run of 10 winless games put them all the way down in 15th. It feels more like the Championship in a way this season which is keeping things interesting.

Or it could be the top teams have got worse and the middle teams have got better due to the Premier League spending powers. The likes of Bournemouth, Fulhamm, Sunderland etc. can take players off Champions League clubs due to the salaries paid. Then the top teams have to navigate two games a week at a very high intensity. Only 2 teams in the Champions League this week won, one of them played an out of sorts Palace and the other had to rest their star player.

It's very hard in the Premier League these days, if you have an off day you can be punished whereas even 4-5 years ago you could quite often play badly and win. Don't think that happens too much these days to be honest.
