Beautiful Things has now completed a full top 14 run at #13 this week, only missing #15 and #17 from a full top 20.

Close to You is back so I assume it’s never been to ACR, 3 weeks away from a full year on the chart before first going to ACR

I’m cheese of that Annabella did not make it low end instead got old 70s shite band fleetwood Mac nick space

It went to ACR before Christmas and got a January reset. Looks to be the last remaining song reset that week yet to go back to ACR though ('Pink Pony Club' appeared to have a manual reset a week later.)

'Ordinary' spends a 16th week in a row at #1 on both the audio streaming and overall streaming charts, closing in on the records of 17 weeks on the former and 18 on the latter - in both cases they are held by 'Shape Of You', although 'Last Christmas' currently ties it for total weeks at #1 on both these charts (and will soon saunter off into the distance with those accolades outright).

For the official #1, 'Ordinary' and 'Manchild' had the first A-B-A-B sequence without interruption since 'Three Lions' and Fugees - Killing Me Softly in 1996, and the first where those all those changes took place in consecutive weeks since The Scaffold - Lily The Pink and Marmalade - Ob-La-Di Ob-La-Da in 1968/69.

UK TOP 100 4.06.25 #40

THE TOP TEN:

10. Family Matters - Skye Newman (No change/Sales fall/7 weeks in chart)
9. Sapphire—Ed Sheeran (Up 3/4 weeks in chart)
8. Ordinary - Alex Warren (Up 1/Sales climb/21 weeks in chart)
7. Blessings—Calvin Harris/Clementine Douglas (Up 1/Sales fall/8 weeks in chart)
6. Victory Lap—Fred Again.../Skepta/PlaqueBoyMax (Down 2/Sales fall/2 weeks in chart)
5. Pink Pony Club—Chappell Roan (No change/Sales fall/33 weeks in chart)
4. Love Me Not—Ravyn Lenae (Down 1/Sales Fall/21 Weeks in Chart)
3. Manchild—Sabrina Carpenter (Down 2/Sales fall/4 weeks in chart)
2. Dior - MK/Chrystal (No change/Sales climb/4 weeks in chart)
1. Survive—Lewis Capaldi (NEW)

NEW ENTRIES:

88. Revival—Zach Bryan (5.5/10)

Zach Bryan has the meaning and lyricism to sell a song, but he doesn't have the substance; I personally always found him boring.

86. Nine Ball - Zach Bryan (7/10)

This song originated from Zach's dad betting on him to win games of pool. Nine Ball is a variation of the game, so I'm presuming that's where he got the title. The song isn't overcomplex but rather simple, with a guitar and Zach making a song that appeals to their audience, but it feels like the movement of the song and the way Zach sings it in a less dull tone makes it better.

64. Gold—J Hus/Asake (5.7/10)

Previous listen:

5/10

Added:

Intense rap where Asake brings a Nigerian-Afro rap twist; the hook and verses are fair and don't feel like they're giving us anything that makes us hyped for what's next. +0.7, though.

44. Shapeshifter—Lorde (8.1/10)

The song has some great strings in the background that add to the surreal feeling of the song. The lyrics are about personal identity and relationship issues, which feel appropriate with the choice of sound.

40. How It's Done—Huntr/X/Ejae/Audrey Nuna/Rei (7/10)

It's like if Linkin Park was a K-Pop group—the crashing chorus, the high-pitched vocals, it's all giving Linkin Park but with that bad bitch switch.

37. On My Mind - Alex Warren/ROSÉ (5.5/10)

Alex Warren makes music that's as flavourful as numbing spray, so the fact that this felt like the pointless love ballad it was is unsurprising. Alex needs to step up and stop giving the bare minimum build-up to a song that feels like it'll only be loved by Myles Smith's biggest fans.

34. Your Idol—Saja Boys/Andrew Choi/Neckwav (6.9/10)

Another song that's from the same corner of media as "Golden," the song blends K-pop with hip-hop in a song that sounds like a mix of BTS and Imagine Dragons, but not as bad as that collaboration really would be. It's certainly acceptable, even a little catchy, but there are things that could be improved. I know instead of screaming parts of the song, you can make a more real hook instead, and lyric-wise, this has even more areas to improve.

1. Survive - Lewis Capaldi (8.5/10)

He doesn't deserve the hate... I love Lewis Capaldi. He has some of the most raw and heartfelt sounds in the industry; his last album not only touched the heart with every song, but it also proved that he's capable of a LOT. And wow, this song hits the high notes perfectly with the message of surviving mental health issues and troubles of life, and honestly, this nearly brought a tear to the eye. BEAUTIFUL.

WORST - The Days - Chrystal

NEXT WEEK'S PREDICTIONS:

Possible new entries for Ava Max, Tom Grennan, WizTheMC & Bees & Honey, Headie One, Zach Bryan, Ethel Cain & more! Stay tuned!

Great to see Linkin Park's latest album re-entered the top 100 - just noticed! Wonder why it re-entered? Actually just noticed they played Wembley for the first time so likely that's the reason!
