The first album was recorded in 2022 and early 2023. The only song from the new album they played live in 2023 was Second Best which debuted in Oct 23. They started working on From the Pyre in late 2024 and recorded in in early 2025.

You could argue it was rushed but I don't think it's left over songs. Two and a half years is plenty of time for writing and recording.

Just listened to the album in full - it’s not bad by any means but is lacking something for me, not something I’m sure I’ll revisit.

It's a more cohesive album than the first album.

It doesn't have the catchy songs the same way the first album did but the two singles released have been great.
