I don't know why they put Steal My Sunshine on Now Millennium, it peaked in 1999 and they could have picked a 2000 release as they only filled two discs with each year on those albums, whereas for 1999 we will get 7 discs, plus anything that might appear on a Final Chaper. Seemed a waste of a space.

Perhaps they’re scared to announce it because of your scathing iTunes reviews.

It’s like you completely ignored everything I had to say. It’s wild that I was told this by someone in the music industry and you’re just like “no” who probably has no experience in the field whatsoev

They should’ve replaced Steal My Sunshine with something that was released in or peaked in 2000. Even though it peaked in 1999, it was still in the chart in 2000 and it was announced before the first 90s yearbook and they do make lots of mistakes such as track repetitiveness

Some could transfer over to the EXTRA variant.

Especially the Westlife ones. Shame Cliff Richard is missing but not bothered about George Michael being missing

Yikes! That was fast!

Probably making up for how late they released 1972 and extra but the colour is too similar to 1989. They should’ve used this colour for 1994, 1995 or 1996 instead of 1999. They should’ve released 1972 and extra on 24th April and 5th June instead of 8th May and 19th June

And to think, I thought 1999 would be the last of the Yearbook to be revealed, prior to the fact that the year itself closes the 20th century. Turns out I was wrong, completely wrong.

Amazing year so this album couldn’t be anything less than great but Eiffel 65 is a big miss, hope they didn’t lose the license.

Curious not to go with Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!!

I’ll get the vinyl for this one as I love the year so much.

Just so relived that they must have kept As for the Extra! Common sense prevails.

Awaiting the Extra for this, as the main album is mostly the usual suspects, apart from The Pretenders, I can't even recall that song. I need the other Steps songs, Thunderbugs, Back In My Life by Alice Deejay, Precious, Ann Lee!

Disc 3 is great though, so much great dance and Erase / Rewind too <3 My favourite songs of the year are all here in Alice Deejay, The Corrs and ATB, I hope they use the hit mix for the latter.

Hope these will be on the extra:

Paul Johnson - Get Get Down

Soulsearcher - I Can't Get Enough

Powerhouse - What You Need

Veracocha - Carte Blanche

DJ Sakin & Friends - Protect Your Mind

Gouryella - Gouryella

Yomanda - Synths & Strings

Fatboy Slim - Right Here Right Now

Basement Jaxx - Rendez-Vous

Adam Rickitt - I Breathe Again

Emmie - More Than This

Jordan Knight - Give It To You

Cassius - Cassius 1999

ATFC Pres. OnePhatDeeva

DJ Luck & MC Neat - A Little Bit Of Luck

Destiny's Child - Bills Bills Bills

Binary Finary - 1999

York - The Awakening

Pete Heller - Big Love

Three Drives - Greece 2000

System F - Out Of The Blue

Alena - Turn It Around

Space Brothers - Show Me Love

Lost Witness - Happiness Happening

Tilt - Invisible

Planet Perfecto - Bullet In The Gun

1999 one of the best years ever - difficult to fill only 7 discs with it. Actually the yearbook is alright, but so much more to add.

Adam Rickitt and Jordan Knight are on the main edition. Everything My Heart Desires could appear as the Adam Rickitt song on the extra edition. They could include A Little Bit Of Luck but I don’t think they will as it peaked in 2000. Bullet In The Gun peaked in 2000 upon re-release

Wow! A Geri song and Maria by Blondie. Haven’t seen them appear on any comp in quite a while.

It’s a great set. Deffo gonna buy the CD & Vinyl of this one.

Yes, we had to do a separate dance edition for 1999 for BuzzJack Presents as dance was too good to only have one dance disc.

You could go on and on for pop as well with more discs.

Yeah - you can even think to split it more up into specific 1999 House and 1999 Trance yearbooks putting the hard-house/hands-up tunes inbetween them. Also 2-Step started to grow, but it became much more present in 2000.

Love this, and I find it to complement the numbered volumes instead of replacing them entirely.

So happy that TLC made it with ‘No Scrubs’, as well as HUGE hits by Whitney Houston which are every bit as memorable as everything else on here.

1999 is such a peak year, there are too many tracks on here that I absolutely love.

I, too, am hoping for the UK single mix of ATB’s legendary original version of 9pm (Till I Come). It’s 2:44 in length but my God it’s a banger.

Here are my highlights:

Blondie - Maria

TLC - No Scrubs

Whitney Houston - Both tracks

Travis - Why Does It Always Rain On Me?

Hepburn - I Quit

B*Witched - Blame It On The Weatherman (my 7th birthday No.1!)

The Corrs - Runaway

Britney Spears - Sometimes

The returners from the numbered volumes which I adore:

Vengaboys - Both tracks

Lou Bega - Mambo No.5

S Club - Both tracks

ATB - 9pm (Till I Come)

Alice Deejay - Better Off Alone

DJ Jean - The Launch

Shanks & Bigfoot - Sweet Like Chocolate

The Chemical Brothers - Hey Boy Hey Girl

I just realised, where’s Lolly? Would love to see both ‘Mickey’ and ‘Viva La Radio’ on the Extra, and the Cartoons ‘Witch Doctor’!

Baz Luhrmann too, as well as Mr Oizo’s ‘Flat Beat’ with Flat Eric!

Come on NOW, you can do it!
