Thursday at 15:524 days Good tracklist apart from David Sylvian spoiling it. With Supergrass, I’m surprised we got Pumping On Your Stereo instead of Moving and either Seasons In The Sun is unlicensable or they’ll include it on 1995-1999. No George Michael which I’m surprised about Edited Thursday at 15:534 days by Hadji

Maybe saving it for one of the Final Chapter releases.Pet Shop Boys seem to be one of their fallback choices when there is no George or Queen (see also Extra 93).Only qualm is I'd have liked to have seen a few more of the trance hits from this year (Gouryella, Binary Finary, System F, DJ Sakin) but dance is very often overlooked on these albums. No Elton John either considering he’s normally over represented on yearbooks
Thursday at 16:224 days I was thinking, in your opinion, has there ever been a Now with a disc 2 better than a disc 1?
Thursday at 16:414 days Pretenders should’ve swapped places with one of the Geri Halliwell songs that appear on extra and You’re My Number One peaked in 2000 which is why I’m surprised it’s on there. I hope Two In A Million appears on 1995-1999

It is sad to see these huge trance anthems missing the cut in a year of huge trance anthems. It’s surprising because there were so many Top 10 songs for them to choose from and they choose a No.40 hit by David Sylvian.Again, stop making David Sylvian happen.

They need to stop making David Sylvian happen. Save him for the vaults at least. Too many hits missing yet they include David Sylvian. Even though Elton John is overly represented on yearbooks, I’d rather they included his top 10 hit over David Sylvian’s top 40 hit. No ATB Don’t Stop either. They obviously don’t listen to complaints they’re getting about overly representing David Sylvian. Same with Donna Summer. Her song didn’t even make the top 40 Edited Thursday at 21:154 days by Hadji
Thursday at 22:414 days Maybe the presence of David Sylvian/Donna Summer etc along with a few choice inclusions on the 97/98 Extras suggests we won't be getting 90s Vaults. I hope we do though as there is so much potential.Aww, I'd overlooked that Don't Stop was missing, they sure don't like to represent how big European dance was at the time on the Yearbooks.
Thursday at 23:084 days I’m surprised You’re My Number One appears on there when it peaked in 2000. I hope we get Two In A Million on 1995-1999 and same goes for Seasons In The Sun. Not sure if they can’t license that song specifically considering they can license Westlife

Not sure if they can’t license that song specifically considering they can license WestlifeI would imagine they just reached their full Westlife quota of two songs on each of the 1999 releases and picked Swear It Again/If I Let You Go instead of Seasons In The Sun. I guess it will be on one of the 1995-1999 editions.I guess with S Club 7 they have no plans to do 2000 yearbooks so felt they could include releases from December 1999 even if they peaked later.
Friday at 01:123 days As for George Michael’s absence, I wonder if they refused to include As as their way of giving his label the middle finger seeing as they’re obsessed with him being track 1

Either that, or they just didn't like the song?

Queen did have hits in both 95 and 96, so there may be a chance they could appear on one of them (or both). As for George, hit hits were a hit in the late 90s, but he didn't have any singles in 95, nor 94.
Friday at 08:533 days Was just looking at what is left of both acts for the 1995/1996 albums and extras and we have:1995: Queen - Heaven For Everyone / A Winter's Tale1996: Queen - Too Much Love Will Kill You / Let Me Live / You Don't Fool Me - The Remixes1996: George Michael - Jesus To A Child / Fastlove / Spinning The WheelSo I would predict:Now Yearbook 1995 opener: Queen - Heaven For EveryoneNow Yearbook 1995 Extra opener: Queen - A Winter's Tale (or something else if they decide not to use this)Now Yearbook 1996 opener: George Michael - Fastlove (Disc 1) / George Michael - Jesus To A Child (Disc 2)Now Yearbook 1996 Extra opener: George Michael - Spinning The Wheel (which leaves As left to open one of the 1995-1999 editions)We might miss out on 1996 Queen singles unless they open the Extra with Too Much Love Will Kill You and leave Spinning The Wheel for 1995-1999.
Friday at 09:003 days You could easily put one disc with top 20 trance hits from 1999 - at least DJ Sakin and Gouryella should be included - better further classics such as "Carte Blanche", "Happiness Happening", "Invisible" and "Heaven Will Come".
