He spoke about it briefly on the Louis Theroux podcast a short while back.

There's no beef. It was just a jokey thing between them and Ed even invited Danny to watch a football game.

After listening to the live version, this is probably going to be my favourite of what's released so far.

Not really my cup of tea, it sounds like a 2010 Olly Murs single. That's not a bad thing in and of itself but I'm just surprised Ed is releasing it as a pre-album single in 2025. Watch it become the biggest hit of the year now.

That's two out of four from this era I've absolutely loved (Azizam and Sapphire) and the other two have missed the mark for me.

I agree it sounds like an Olly Murs track from years ago! A massive miss.

It's very Teddy Swims / Olivia Dean, both of whom are in a strong position at the moment. That contemporary blues/soul sound is very on point, he's showing a breadth of sounds for this era that's for sure.

While initially im like its ok i know its the type of song that will grow on me and in a few weeks il be enjoying it way more.

I had high hopes for this based on the first three singles (and 'Drive') but on first listen it's definitely the weakest single from the era so far. I get the early Olly Murs comparison. On a positive note though, it sounds completely different from anything he's done before so maybe that will work in its favour?

On first listen if you didnt tell me it was Ed i would of said it was only, sounds very much like ollys thinking of me but slower if that makes sense

Funnily enough, on second listen this has started clicking! (you could even say on second listen, I'm liking it a little more )

He's definitely done worse, although he's definitely done better too.

Have to agree with this , although it does still feel a little dated its growing each listen

Ironic saying like an old olly track, my autoplay has been songs 5 years or older when I listen to this 🤣

I definitely hear early Olly Murs too (infact it kinda sounds like a early career single in general) not like something you’d be putting out when you’re on album #8!

Echoing what others have said in that He’s done worse though but he’s also done a lot better! The music videos kinda a miss for me I hate these kinds of cheesy comedy esque music videos but I don’t think the visual side of things has ever been a thing for Ed and the housewives and straights are bound to adore it 🫠

I'm in the minority here, I utterly love it! The chorus is SOOOO catchy and that video was excellent, I laughed out loud so many times! Brilliant.
