August 22, 2025Aug 22 I’ve heard that some people’s Deftones vinyl records have been delayed to September, so that could impact their sales.
August 23, 2025Aug 23 Deftones have never charted higher than #5 in the UK so without vinyls, they will struggle to go top 3 I think. The album is amazing.Sombr's album tracks haven't done anything on AM yet, do people know he has released one? Edited August 23, 2025Aug 23 by Sour Candy
August 23, 2025Aug 23 Apple has always given poor support to Sombr in singles, guess its the same for the albumthink he'll do better on Spotify but for what I see it's only 1 of the variants from their store x Deftones that is delayed to Sep 26
August 23, 2025Aug 23 Yeah the Apple numbers look pretty bad so if the Spotify numbers aren’t big it could miss the top 5 altogether considering no physicals yet
August 23, 2025Aug 23 He benefits a lot from having a third hit song on the album though, it's something that Bieber and Boone didn't have.
August 23, 2025Aug 23 I said it in the streaming thread but I think we'll see impact similar to Benson Boone's Fireworks & Rollerblades, which also didn't have physicals on week 1. That had four established streaming hits on it (Beautiful Things, Slow It Down, Ghost Town and In the Stars) much like sombr's album has, and the only real difference is that sombr's album is only 10 songs, compared to Benson's which was 15 songs (Pretty Slowly became song 16 later down the line). Fireworks & Rollerblades debuted and peaked at #16 so wouldn't shock me to see something similar for sombr, though I'd love to be pleasantly surprised and see him land higher. But yes, worth noting sombr's always performed significantly worse on Apple, fairly sure undressed peaked around #15 there and back to friends never got higher than low top 40.
August 23, 2025Aug 23 I find it bizarre how record labels can't get physicals ready in time to tie in with a streaming release date for albums. I know that vinyls take longer to manufacture so they often come later down the line, but surely CDs can be ready quite quickly? The lack of physicals is going to make such a difference to sombr's chart position. Edited August 23, 2025Aug 23 by Mangø
August 24, 2025Aug 24 There are singalong screenings of K-Popp Demon Hunters at cinemas all weekend so that should help boost all the songs this week.
