Or they will play Manchild again after the weekend? That’s because the Tracks from Man’s Best Friend is the Tune of the Weekend so I guess they will play a variety over the weekend… and then go back to Manchild on Monday!

Can’t remember whether George Ezra did it before.George Ezra did 11 weeks with 'Anyone For You'.The only songs which have managed 12+ weeks on the A-list are:2015 Adele - Hello (12) 2016 Rag'n'Bone Man - Human (12)2016 The Weeknd feat. Daft Punk - Starboy (12)2019 Lewis Capaldi - Before You Go (12)2019 Lewis Capaldi - Bruises (12)2020 Miley Cyrus - Midnight Sky (12)2017 Ed Sheeran - Shape Of You (13)2016 Drake feat. WizKid & Kyla - One Dance (14)
Friday at 19:282 days Quite surprised not to see Perrie added today (also hoping for Sigrid, SG Lewis and Skepta in the next few weeks)

Friday at 20:322 days Won’t add Tears so they can keep Manchild on the playlist. Should’ve added Tears and removed Manchild
Friday at 20:552 days Id hazard a guess that they didnt know which song was gonna be single 2, sabrina herself didnt make an official announcement until 2 days ago so this will be their way around it and will probably swap out next weekSimilar happened with manchild she didnt announce it until a few days before and so they added it the week after

Saturday at 08:401 day I really do find myself struggling to get on board with the playlist as it stands now. I'm massively out of touch with the new adds and when artists like Katy B are stuck on the C List it's a real shame.I've been listening to Hits Radio this morning, a station I've never seen discussed on here but has increased its reach massively over the last couple of years or so (I get it locally on FM now). On high rotation there are the usual suspects (a good mix of 'throwbacks too') but also Sugababes - Shook, Olly Murs - Save Me, Jax Jones - Stereo, Craig David - Rain etc. It just feels a little more diverse, up my street, but perhaps more Adult Contemporary orientated than R1. Even R2 turn over their playlist too quickly for anything to stick with an audience. I might try and track the new adds on Hits for 'The Other Playlist' thread.

Saturday at 09:451 day Agreed with Sugababes. Having them at Big Weekend and doing a Live Lounge this year feels bittersweet when the actual radio support for the singles wasn't there.
Saturday at 14:261 day I think sugababes are more a love of their retro stuff, woulda been very surprised if their new material was playlisted. R2 gave it great support as well. That’s just the way it is with R1 as annoying or unfair as that seems.
Saturday at 15:401 day I don't think anyone actually expected Sugababes support for their new stuff, but I do think it's fair to call it out. I know these debates go round very often, but getting them for Big Weekend and Live Lounge solely because of past glories feels like a slap in the face to their acclaimed new singles which wouldn't sound out of place on the Radio 1 playlist. I guarantee if FLO had released Shook, it'd be getting high rotation!
