A thread for everything we know about the new Melanie C single.

Apparently it is called Sweat and has been performed on The Voice Australia final. The music video was apparently filmed in a gay sex club, and she has filmed a few videos at once for follow up singles. Seems there is a plan in place for the new album coming in 2026. Hopefully it is earlier in the year.

I’ll post some of the sources later when in my laptop, free anyone else to do so if you like. 😊

Sweat has been confirmed to be co-written by Melanie and Theo Hutchcraft (of Hurts). It also interpolates Diana Ross' 80s hit single Work That Body. 🤩

hmmmm.... interesting she collaborated with the guy from Hurts.

I am hoping the song is good, but the Hurts were very 10 years ago and the sample makes me think this will be very camp in a way that might be cringe...

Anyway, hope she finds success with it
