It's finally out! I like it. Very groovy.

I love Mel and I’ll always support her, but if I’m honest I’m really not connecting with this new era so far. Sweat was already one of the first singles I’ve listened to the least out of her whole career, and the remix hasn’t changed that for me at all, it just doesn’t grab me in any way. I didn’t have huge expectations for the remix to begin with, but even so it feels very flat and forgettable to me. It’s a bit disappointing because her music has usually really excited me, and this time it just… doesn’t. I don’t feel that spark or passion I used to, and right now I’m not even sure I’ll feel the urge to go back and listen to it again anytime soon.

I like Sweat, but it’s time to move on to single number two. This remix should have been released a month ago.

Three months in between single releases is too long for Melanie. She doesn’t have a big enough fan base to support that marketing model. Releasing a single every 2 months would be better.

Sweat only has 1.5 million streams on Spotify. That’s not that great especially when you compare it to other recent smaller pop acts like Robyn or Hilary Duff.

Is it really fair to say Robyn is a smaller pop act at this stage? She has a pretty big following, she's respected, her comeback after many years is anticipated and she's still able to get on the Radio 1 playlist which is no mean feat.

Anyway this song is still terrible and I just want whatever's coming next at this stage.

Im not sure comparing with Robyn is fair at all... Robyn is pretty big and influencial all over Europe and USA. She has a big following and is an icon to the standard that Mel C has never been solo wise.

Hilary Duff however... well...

You guys made some good points. It’s not fair to compare Melanie to Robyn.

Anyone else fed up with remixes only being about three minutes long these days? Or "extended" remixes clocking in at no longer then three and a half minutes? That's if we get any remixes at all!

What happened to remixes at least seven minutes in length? You know, ones that are easy to mix into a set (that I like to do) because they have nice long lead ins and outs.
