Official Charts Report

KPop Demon Hunters’ HUNTR/X are tracking for the top spot for a sixth non-consecutive week on the Official Singles Chart, with Golden leading the race for Number 1.

And the K-pop supremacy is set to continue. Saja Boys hit Soda Pop leaps three places up the charts midweek (2). Could the track finally knock Golden off its perch this week? But that’s not all. The group’s song Your Idol also jumps into the Top 5, proving the genre’s continued popularity in the UK (4).

The highest new entry this week could come courtesy of Lady Gaga’s single The Dead Dance (6). With the music video being directed by the legendary Tim Burton, can this infectious pop anthem retain its position in the Top 10?

Calvin Harris could also earn another Top 10 with his new release Ocean (10). His last single Blessings was recently named the Official biggest British Song of the Summer this year.

Finally, with is new album PLAY releasing this Friday, Ed Sheeran sees both A Little More (18) and Sapphire (19) climb an impressive 19 places to potentially achieve a Top 20 stay.

Soda Pop is literally the worst song of the movie, cant stand the chorus. Hope its not as high on Spotify. Why aren't they reporting their numbers?

Think thats the whole point with soda pop even in the context of the film you want to hate it but theres still a part of it which is annoyingly catchy and you cant help singing along. Similar to AIWFIY or DLBIA etc

Also its the VMA's tonight which could influence the charts. So first look could probably be completely wrong anyway

Dont the vmas only tend to have minor effects on the UK chart

Man I need best British female song since Messy it’ll be a travesty if Jeff Bezos stops it going to 1 hopefully the streams stay strong for next week and it eventually gets at least a week at 1. Never seen a song have 200k more per day on Spotify and not get 1 without physicals/downloads or Christmas. Truly unprecedented

Golden's also ahead on Apple so it's not just "Jeff Bezos"

Also was a deluxe version of the album released with singalong, instrumental and acappella songs for all 7 of the performed songs, won't make a colossal difference but surely its gonna add a few sales to the KDH tracks
