MAYHEM should be safe to re-enter the top 40 then if it’s climbed since the midweeks And hopefully The Dead Dance secures top 20 at least and hopefully sticks around! I do think it might become a long lasting hit and hopefully sneak top 10 eventually!

However, anthology did deny SnS what wouldve been 3 straight weeks. The two weeks it caused TTPD to go back to #1, SnS rode in the passenger seat and then took back #1 the following week

I would not describe the current gap as 'agonisingly close', 'Golden' is still very comfortably ahead.

True , although at this stage last week golden was 10k ahead, this week its 6 so it is closing, she might never get to number 1 though

Agreed on the final comment, guess there’s plenty who only listen to specific genres, I’m not one of them as I find different genres interesting and love loads of different type of music.

I was listening to spice Girls, atomic kitten, steps, billie piper during those years. I remember Gary barlow was on the stage during Atomic Kitten tour ( i owned the dvd) , my mum was like ooo look it is Gary from take that and my reply was who the heck is take that 😂. I had heard of blurr and oasis even though i didn't listen to them. But never heard of Suede until they was mentioned on here.
