Posted September 10, 2025Sep 10 In Limerence is the debut studio album by Scottish singer Jacob Alon. It was released on 30 May 2025. The album was produced by Dan CareyAfter not making much buzz on release, the album is now nominated for the Mercury 2025 Prize yayit's been the soundtrack of the summer for me, listening non-stop, highly recommended and a candidate for album of the year for certain.Perfect blend of folk and indie.Any fans?
September 13, 2025Sep 13 Melancholic, spare., and achingly beautiful record. Feeling a bit of Nick Drake and Rufus Wainwright with a hint of Ben Howard. Revelation from my listen-thru of the Mercury shortlist. Edited September 13, 2025Sep 13 by plaugher
November 20, 2025Nov 20 I heard BBC Radio 1 playing this song today and I had to stop what I was doing and listen to it because it was so beautiful.Greg James revealed that the song was called 'Of Amber' by Jacob Alon. I hope this gets more airplay or features on TikTok in the near future. More people need to hear this. Edited November 20, 2025Nov 20 by montyj
December 7, 2025Dec 7 I love ‘In Limerence’ so I came here also to recommend Irish singer songwriter Dove Ellis's debut album Blizzard, released on Friday. Gorgeous but idiosyncratic folk with some Jeff Buckley, Rufus Wainwright influences. I’m afraid I’ve become really evangelical about this guy and suggesting him to everyone. He’s certainly blown my album/song of the year lists apart in December. Perfect winter listening, I’m also predicting a Mercury prize win next year, it’s that great!
