With it being pushed back all the way to February, there must have been other factors at play.

No that was literally the reason, Robbie said as much himself at his Dingwalls show the other day - he basically just wants the record for most number one albums

Surely it’s hard to know what will be released that week this far out though? A 2nd or 9th of Jan release would surely guarantee that more?

To be fair, most artists would probably avoid going against Robbie (and will schedule accordingly if they think they can get #1), you'd think he's an easy #1 against almost anyone, just typical that Taylor is one of the few he couldn't beat!!

I think the big irony when talking about week 2 declines is that the small, sometimes non-existent drops are arguably a bigger indictment. 90something percent drops look bad on paper and it's easy to be shady, but the opposite can (though not always) speak of an artist with no day 1s, often thriving on streams of pre-packaged hits from people with no expressed interest in the full product.

I hope we get 2 new Taylor songs in the top 40 next week rather than the same ones as this week and last week and boo Golden increasing its lead from Man I Need

Golden hasn't increased its lead at all. It was 2713 ahead on Monday, and is now only 2224 ahead.

Let's be realistic about Taylor too because the same 3 songs are still her most streamed on Apple and Spotify, I don't see why we'd get even 1 different song next week unless things shift significantly, certainly not 2.

I guess there’s no way of finding out how close What It Sounds Like is to How It’s Done?

I didn’t expect quite such a huge drop off from Taylor’s album - I was expecting a second week of about 65k but that looks overly optimistic now.

Still, it was a huge first week and nobody can seem to manage huge physical figures in week two anymore.

The only thing missing from her storied career now is a big Christmas staple (because Christmas Tree Farm definitely is not that).

Imagine the Life Of A Showgirl (Eggnog Encore Edition) released on Christmas chart week, with a sparkling new festive pop classic nestled on the tracklist and a clear run for Christmas No.1 in both charts.

No way at all I'm afraid

Can whomever is blocking HID from top 10 like fall please 🙏🏻

sombr, who's ahead on both Apple and Spotify (significantly so on the latter) so wouldn't count on it

The Taylor songs will probably remain the same until they go ACR which should be on week 10 at least for two of them ('Ophelia' might avoid).

Even if they go ACR, they’ll get reset because they’re due for ACR during the Christmas rush and we’ll probably end up with the same 3 Taylor songs in the new year

I'm not convinced by then anything will make that much of a splash except potentially Ophelia, as everything else would've fallen away.

'Man I Need' is down by more than 1k from last Wednesday's mids so looks to heading for DCL-2, but 'Golden' is up by more than 3k and seems to be avoiding ACR on the last few days again. At least it appears to be a genuine increase this time and not just its video streams starting to come through belatedly (though for that reason, it should really have gone to ACR 3 weeks ago).

More importantly do we know what Your Idol is on compared to last week hopefully its going down down down 🤞

Ophelia has certainly pulled ahead from Golden now. Wonder how many weeks she's gonna pull a chart double
