New album from Meghan Trainor is out 24th April 2026!

I loved ‘Been Like This’ and ‘To The Moon’ from the last one, hopefully this one has some bangers!

Okay, this album is terrible😭 I like Shimmer but the rest could literally be a random album track from her other albums.

I wish she would work with other collaborators or something because I love her voice but the music she puts out is uninspiring. I went to see her back in 2015 and thought she had so much potential.

Saying all that though, she’s gave decent visuals this era, so that’s something I guess.

This album is brilliant - it's what Meghan does best - light, fluffy pop.

Men's Tears, Get in Girl, Shimmer, Hush and Princess are obvious stand outs.

She dropped another four tracks in a deluxe edition, as if the first 16 weren’t enough 👀

The problem I have with this, is a lot of the songs on the album are brilliant on a pop level (hooky chorus, has a catch to the verses) but are let down by it being too short or they sort of….blend into one another by being sonically too similar.

What essentially is a 16 track album, can be condensed down into a 10-12 track and just rewritten so it actually gives the song some context.

(Shimmer remains iconique and it’s a shame she’s suffering a lot of backlash due to her new body image)

I agree, the vitriol towards her is so weird.

I’ve listened to this a few times and I think there is actually potential there but she overdoes it with cringey lyrics and the production is always so predictable and cheap sounding. Working with more people would only help her creatively, I think.
