Posted December 3, 2025Dec 3 So girlies, the year is almost ending and it's been, well.... bittersweet to say the least! Mel C did gigs in pretty much every Western festival going, DJed at every opportunity that paid her a check and started to finally release music and planning gigs for next year. Emma is seemingly more involved with HeartFM than ever and has started a mediocre podcast with her husband and friends... Mel B is back in America's Got Talent and has done some presenting gigs and charity work. Gerita has avoided more scandals about her husband and released the latest Rosie Frost book in the series. Victoria continued to grow her fashion and beauty brands and even released a documentary on Netflix. Technically, at least publicly, they seem to be more apart than ever, professionally....HOWEVER, we seem to have big (but vague) promises of what might be coming next year for both the group and solo projects, related to music and more. So in light of what we did last year, lets figure out what the plan might be for the year 2026, shall we???SPICE GIRLSIt is the 30th anniversary of Wannabe, Say You'll Be There, the Spice album and 2 Become 1. Seemingly, they seem to mostly be hinting at some sort of group related activities being in the planning stages right now. What we know: Management: Simon Fuller was spotted at Mel B's wedding and there have been various planted rumours they are back working with him and XIX ManagementTouring: Every week there seems to be a rumour of them planning one, then next week rumours of them not doing it, then of some of them being a stumbling block. Both Mel C and Mel B hinted at reunions and plans being afoot. Mel C has clarified that a 'tour is what she would want to do but that' something they cant promise right now'Victoria has hinted she would be tempted but this feels very much like a plug to her Netflix documentary, to continue to get her profile out there during the promo run for that. Emma has been totally quiet on this frontGeri posted an IG video, during the release of Rosie Frost latest book, where she talked about 'what she used to do before' seemingly distancing herself from the band, and she has not said anything at all about the band (to my knowlege) and has kept her profile low since then. Since Mel C is announcing various live gigs in May, June and October, it is safe to say that the group wont be touring during this time. If they are to be going on tour, which is not really in the realms of possibility right now, it will be announced closer to the summer or later in the year for 2027!Music: Anniversary releases for Wannabe30 and Spice30 seem certain, or at least some sort of new releases of their back catalogue are rumoured to be in the planning stages. The group keep hinting at WOMAN lyrics, in their newsletters, so maybe we might finally get more unreleased music out there?...Documentary: There have been constant rumours of a documentary for Netflix being planned. It has been in the works for a while, with the team behind Netflix's acclaimed The Last Dance being tapped to do it. However, various conflicting reports - and even one claiming it is Geri blocking it - have kind of put a dent to this. Mel C says if they are to do one, it should be a celebration of their impact!Netflix Drama series - Another thing that has been in the works for a while, finally getting of the ground lately, is a Drama series based on the group's history. The production and writing teams behind The Crown and Bafta-winning Big Boys creator Jack Rooke. These are big players if it turns out to be right. MELANIE CObviously she has an album, Sweat, coming out on May 1st, and seemingly 'lots of songs' will come through beforehand. So we can expect a few singles ahead of the release. She is signed on to Virgin Music Group, a subdivision of Universal, for the first time in the UK since setting up Red Girl Records. It is a distribution deal. She will do a few live gigs in festivals, as well as DJ at Mardi Grass in Australia and play her biggest live show since 2000 at the iconic London Brixton AcademyShe has a movie coming out, Girlband, where she plays a version of herselfShe will probably be announcing more gigs and partnerships soonGERI HALLIWELL-HORNERGeri will release, as far as we know (though it hasnt been confirmed), a third book in the Rosie Frost series. A few editions of her previous books in the series will be released in different languages. She announced early this year that the rights to the series have been sold to a big Hollywood producer, but nothing has been confirmed publicly, but it is safe to assume that the film or series are in the early stages of production. EMMA BUNTONLate 2024, it was announced that Emma was signed up to WME Management in the US and back with 19 Records/Management in the UK/Europe. However, only one project has come up since then that we know of, related to this: her flop cover version of 2 Become 1. Since then, nothing. Nothing at all. We have no knowlege at all of any other plans for 2026. Maybe she will do more Heart FM shows? Maybe she will do a (god help us...) new series of the Unlikely Friends podcast???No signs at all that she is doing any solo music at all either....................MELANIE BIt is kind of save to assume she will do another season of America's Got Talent. It pays her really hell and she seems to love it. She also does the most random presenting gigs possible, so it is also safe to say she will do more of those too to keep the bills coming in...She teased a couple of months back that she was gagging to get back in the studio, but nothing has been even teased since then...VICKY BEXDefinitely more fashion label seasons and beauty company product releases. It seems like she is doing well there and she wont mess that up! WHAT ABOUT US??Out of this, what do you wish will happen? And what do you think will actually happen? What are your expectations and wants for 2026?
December 7, 2025Dec 7 I want Melanie C to do amazing with the album and a five piece reunion in summer
December 7, 2025Dec 7 Author Spice Girls-wise, I think:Documentary will be released. I think it is in motion. Spice30 new vinyl and some other variants. It will include one more unreleased track as a bonus onlyWannabe30 - no new vinyl, just a celebration digital release or something like thatNo tour. I don't see it happening, sorry. Unless Gerita changes her mind and they do some live shows, it is not happening. If it does, they will announce around the 30th anniversary of Spice. They will probably do some more adverts to go with the promotion of the 30th anniversary. Bunch of merch as well...Solo Spices:I predict that Melanie C will sell around roughly the same as she did with her last album, probably a bit more since she will have wider distribution/more promo with a major label... around 8,000 copies! She will eventually sell out the Brixton Academy and do some more summer festivals to promote the album. She will release 3 more singles before the album. I'm a bit surprised she started so early with Sweat, it could probably be better received in like January/February. But alas...I would want Emma to do more music but I also don't see it happening. The Unlikely Friends podcast was such a meh project and a waste of time. She seems to be back in a bit of a rut with her music again after that awful 2 Become 1 cover and the KPOPPED ones. I fear she has kind of lost it with her creativity...Geri will do another Rosie Frost book but I don't think much more will come from it. The last one seemed to come and go and she has gone real quiet about it as well. There have been no rumours of any behind-the-scenes workings on the movie or anything like that either, that we know of... The books got to the New York Times Best Seller list for 1 week but seemingly nothing more than that... it certainly didnt even get the Young Adults charts in the UK either, and both had a lot of promo...Mel B... I don't know... maybe some more TV shows...
December 7, 2025Dec 7 It would be great if they released some sort of anthology collection alongside the Netflix documentary. Give the fans a few crumbs of unreleased songs like Woman, Sound Off and the movie version of Say You’ll Be There
December 7, 2025Dec 7 Geri rejoins Spice Girls after quitting in 2019!! Victoria joins too and they release a newly recorded version og W.O.M.A.N
December 8, 2025Dec 8 GeriI'm not sure if the third book about Rosie Frost is ready. Maybe it will be released in 2027?If so, I don't know what else she could do.EmmaIt would be great if she returned to making music.I would even settle for a Christmas album. It would also be time for her to publish a biography. She will definitely continue with radio.Melanie CWith the release of the album, I hope she announces a proper tour. I've never been a fan of her DJ career.Fortunately, she's the only one who continues to make music.Mel BI would love for her to return to music with a few singles, but in the meantime, she has already filmed a new talent show with Cowell, which is set to air in 2026.VictoriaI don't expect anything from her. She'll continue with fashion.Spice GirlsI don't think they'll be back on tour in 2026. I hope they'll release some unreleased tracks from their archives instead.
December 19, 2025Dec 19 Author Have you girlies seen the latest online buzz set by Mel C and Victoria about them performing at The Sphere in Vegas??The latest clip going viral is Mel C hinting at the possibility of it??What do we think girlies, are we about to see the 5 girls back together for a residency at The Sphere or is this just Mel C and Victoria drumming up online algorythms so people see it and check out their solo projects as well?ALSO... we do we really really want a The Sphere residency? 🥲
December 19, 2025Dec 19 Looking at how the past few years have gone and expecting… well, not much, my only hope for 2026 is that no one kicks the bucket 😅… or that I don’t before we finally get the studio version of W.O.M.A.N 😂
February 11Feb 11 Author So, not even 2 months in, where is where we are at: Melanie C is full on promo for her album and concert at Brixton Academy. She has also launched a solo tour around the launch of the album, in small venues and most of them have sold out. Emma is doing more Heart FM and Unlikely Friends podcast. The most exciting thing from that so far being her talking about unreleased songs like the Power of 5 and messing that up majorly and saying she doesnt remember much... Great. No idea of any other project in the pipeline...Mel B, against all odds, is releasing a Vinyl edition of HOT for Record Store Day. A limited edition 'RSD First', it has a first draw of 2500 copies which sounds ambitious (specially with that awful design lol). But yeah, that actually is exciting!!Gerita Halliwell I have no idea apart from some soft-cover editions of Rosie Frost being released soon in some countries. She seems quite quiet....Vicky Bex has been, strangely, the one promoting the Spice Girls the most lately. Not only she went viral while singing Viva Forever accoustic from her couch on a random Sunday, but she got both Viva Forever AND Not Such an Innocent Girl AND Out of Your Mind back in the charts. Who would have thought??!!! An Icon! Spice Girls Group wise... well... they are releasing the Spice Girls Limited Edition Coins which is cool but apart from that, we only have word from Mel C that they 'must do something' to celebrate their legacy. Last week, 4 of them tourned up at Emma's birthday and then the same four reunited at VB's house to sing a rendition of Viva Forever accapela together. It was lovely but.... From what Mel C has been saying lately, it doesnt sound like anything is actually confirmed happening regarding a reunion. There were rumours of a documentary (by hollywood producers!!), a TV drama series based on them (by quite high profile people) and a Vegas residency. But it all seems to have gone to the shitters again...I would expect nothing more than a 30th anniversay of Spice at this point with a couple of variants and that will be it lol
Saturday at 07:483 days The Sphere keeps popping up as a rumour - maybe its because BSB have recently done it.Personally, there seems more hype for them to get back together (but it might be Victoria constantly using The Spice Girls to promote Cruz' music).I read online the Netflix doc got cancelled though.
Saturday at 15:373 days Author I think The Sphere thing was blow out of porpotion by Victoria and Mel C while promoting their solo projects in the US. It went quiet as soon as those promotional campaigns ended...At this stage, we only know of one official thing coming and that is the Spice Coins being produced by the Royal Mint in the UK. Apart from that, nothing else. Yes it seems both the documentary and the drama TV series for Netflix have now been cancelled due to the group not getting their shit together. I think this is like the 4th time they cancel a project with Netflix so it would be safe to asume that bridge is burnt now...
Saturday at 19:413 days Probably the group, especially Geri wants final cut of the documentary to control what the film covers. That’s probably why the project hasn’t been able to get off the ground.
Saturday at 21:163 days Author 1 hour ago, Sideout said:Probably the group, especially Geri wants final cut of the documentary to control what the film covers. That’s probably why the project hasn’t been able to get off the ground.Thats a good point, as they do have control over their releases as well. It has also been suggested before (on popjustice a while a go) that the reason they didnt tour more between 2008 - 2019 was that promoters were not paying enough for what they were asking. But I am not sure if that is true...I do think that if someone offered a Stadium tour where each member could make another £20-30million, they would probably do it...
9 hours ago9 hr Author CONFIRMED UPDATESSpice Girls Coins by The Royal Mint, coming this yearSpice Girls Funko POP Rock Wannabe outfits edition - coming in JuneIt's funny... we've had some remarkable things that came our way since 2019 but most of them had nothing to do with the group - they were done despite the band itself lol The Spice Girls LEGO and the Royal Mail Spice Girls editions are not random things, nor are they technically 'merch' they are markers of genuine cultural impact from the band. And now these two things coming this year... sure they have to sign off on those things for licensing reasons (and they have the power to do that) but I don't think it was any of them personally calling LEGO or the Royal Mint to do special editions for them lol, specially since as far as we know they don't even have a proper management team in place right now...
