I enjoy most of what Charli xcx puts out but there is just something about the single that has really grabbed me, I think I prefer her more emotive, string laden and goth-infused tracks - incidentally “Nuclear Seasons” was Christmas #1 for me in 2011. 14 years ago! It was the first song I'd heard of hers and crazy to think that she'd only just turned 19 at the time.Love that Man/Woman/Chainsaw single which has been getting decent play on 6Music and therefore soundtracking the office, I've also just charted that new Mandy, Indiana single (below the Top 40) so look forward to that growing on me in 2026.Plenty of others that I know and love here, so I'll definitely spend the next few weeks investigating some of the less known tracks here. On first listen am really enjoying that Gretel track. *.* Going straight on my 2026 playlist. (Just realised that she's the Gretel Hänlyn that released “Drive” in 2022, wondered what happened to her!)Have a great Christmas and New Year!

I'm pleased that you're also enjoying 'Chains of Love'! I wasn't sure what to think when I saw it described as a 'ballad' but I had nothing to worry about, as it quickly grabbed me and got better with every listen. As you say, the gothic tinge and strings stand out a lot, both sounds that are usually a big tick for me. 'Nuclear Seasons' is an early gem in her catalogue for sure 😍 so a great choice of chart-topper 14 (!) years ago. What a career she's gone on to have since then! I think someone sent her to BJSC quite early on so we're clearly good at talent spotting on here.Man/Woman/Chainsaw have been on my radar since I came across 'Ode To Clio' last year and this one is even better! Glad it performed respectfully in BJSC as an AQ. 6Music is a top choice of office soundtrack <3 the Mandy, Indiana song is very striking indeed, pleased to hear that it's impacting your chart even if the lower region for now - bring on a new year smash *.*Hope you make some good discoveries <3 I definitely need to do the same with your chart as well, especially while the new release schedule is so barren during this festive period.
