Gross at AIWFCIY being the most played Christmas song on radio 1 🤮

The previous day it was Elton and Wham with three spins!

Elton is fair , wham debatable 🤣

I'm not sure I see the point in these songs being on the "sleigh list" if they're not even matching the number of spins Leona etc are getting, let alone Wham/Mariah. Lol

Other Christmas songs that barely made a splash seem to be getting as many plays as them. I feel sleigh list songs should really be getting A List treatment...

they function like B or C tier songs tbf. I’m surprised sabrina isnt on the sleigh list with at least ONE song cos all 3 are now on daily rotation (and we could do with a cindy lou who or is it new year’s yet add to change this up tbh).

off topic but now they normalised plays for the “problematic songs” like Christmas by Darlene Love, Happy Xmas by John Lennon, Sleigh Ride by The Ronettes and all that
