Reminder that Friday's chart show will be the EOY top 100 of 2025, starting at 2pm, and join us here on BuzzJack for the countdown as well as the pre-show from 1pm. There's no First Look next Sunday.

It is complete, pretty sure the week after won't be counted for 2025's EOY. Thought you would be against playing Christmas songs anyway!

Missing 5 days of sales it's not complete

It’s always been aligned with chart weeks. It actually includes sales from 27 December 2024.

Year began 30th December 2024 week 1 end. 28th December week 52 that sales chart year go from

Week 1 2026 start 29th December that says on calendar

I would imagine they will do a top 10 rundown.

So at some point during the yearly chart radio show they will tell the top 10 of this week? Is that towards the end of the show?

Worst EOY chart was 1979 where some of the big sellers such as I Have A Dream and Another Brick In The Wall missed the 1979 EOY chart because the cut off point was 8th December

With Christmas Day being on a Thursday this year, they’ll have to estimate the streams from Spotify that day.

Why was that date the cut off?

Most EOY charts in the BMRB era (which ended in 1983 I think?) didn't include the last few weeks of the year, apparently so that Radio 1 could broadcast the show before the new year.
