Hi all! I'm a bit later with this this year and it'll definitely be a pared down version of what I usually do as I don't have as much time, and also the fact we've lost BBCode so all my auto-formatting doesn't work sad But we will have an End of Year! As always, all comments more than welcome.

Mainstream Song of the Year: Alex Warren - Carry You Home

2025 wasn't the most stellar for mainstream music - only two Top 40 entries make my Top 100 this time round! So I've decided to go for the song that was #3 in my EOY last year but has made much more of an impact in the charts this year. Whilst this song maybe has been played a little too much this year, it's still a beautiful love song that shines as a beacon amongst all the less pleasant topics that often get brought up in chart songs. His best song by a mile, and more than happy to give it another shout-out here!

Mainstream Song of the Year: Hall of Fame

1999: Fatboy Slim - Praise You

2000: Madison Avenue - Don't Call Me Baby

178: Toby Lee - House On Fire

187: Moses Brothers - Sailing

188: JERUB - Kumbaya

197: HAAi, Jon Hopkins, Obi Franky, ILA & Trans Voices - Satellite

198: Sam Hibbard - Oasis

199: Ten Fé - All Night

200: Ed Sheeran - Sapphire

Very little commentary here as we've got 200 of them to get through! But hopefully at least a few of the names look familiar (Ed Sheeran certainly should tongue) and doing my chart a little later than usual has meant a couple of Christmas songs have snuck in as well.

Really like "Hallucination" and "Sapphire" from the 176-200 list.

Glad you're a fan of these! Hallucination was a great BJSC entry and Sapphire was my favourite of Ed's songs this year, loving the Indian theme. Thanks Sergej!

Great to see HAAi and co. in that first section wub she was sent to BJSC this year albeit with a different song!

Ah nice! I found this one on the Radio 6 playlist and thought it sounded quite nice so decided to add it to my own. Thanks Jade!

153: Tom Speight - Higher

154: Cephas Azariah & Elle Limebear - you're gonna be ok

155: Rend Collective - Burn

168: Of Monsters and Men - Television Love

169: Tautumeitas - Bur man laimi

172: The Lottery Winners - Turn Around

173: Tom Odell - Don't Cry, Put Your Head on My Shoulder

174: Unheilig - Wunderschon

175: Quiet Man - Treading Water

Again, quite a few great Christian songs in this section, but also the likes of The Lottery Winners, Of Monsters and Men, Tom Odell and a couple of Eurovision entries make it in. Also Lukas Graham's only charting song lands here - quite the world away from their numerous #1s back in the day!
