Hi all! I'm a bit later with this this year and it'll definitely be a pared down version of what I usually do as I don't have as much time, and also the fact we've lost BBCode so all my auto-formatting doesn't work sad But we will have an End of Year! As always, all comments more than welcome.

Mainstream Song of the Year: Alex Warren - Carry You Home

2025 wasn't the most stellar for mainstream music - only two Top 40 entries make my Top 100 this time round! So I've decided to go for the song that was #3 in my EOY last year but has made much more of an impact in the charts this year. Whilst this song maybe has been played a little too much this year, it's still a beautiful love song that shines as a beacon amongst all the less pleasant topics that often get brought up in chart songs. His best song by a mile, and more than happy to give it another shout-out here!

Mainstream Song of the Year: Hall of Fame

1999: Fatboy Slim - Praise You

197: HAAi, Jon Hopkins, Obi Franky, ILA & Trans Voices - Satellite

198: Sam Hibbard - Oasis

199: Ten Fé - All Night

200: Ed Sheeran - Sapphire

Very little commentary here as we've got 200 of them to get through! But hopefully at least a few of the names look familiar (Ed Sheeran certainly should tongue) and doing my chart a little later than usual has meant a couple of Christmas songs have snuck in as well.

Really like "Hallucination" and "Sapphire" from the 176-200 list.

Glad you're a fan of these! Hallucination was a great BJSC entry and Sapphire was my favourite of Ed's songs this year, loving the Indian theme. Thanks Sergej!

Great to see HAAi and co. in that first section wub she was sent to BJSC this year albeit with a different song!

Ah nice! I found this one on the Radio 6 playlist and thought it sounded quite nice so decided to add it to my own. Thanks Jade!

173: Tom Odell - Don't Cry, Put Your Head on My Shoulder

175: Quiet Man - Treading Water

Again, quite a few great Christian songs in this section, but also the likes of The Lottery Winners, Of Monsters and Men, Tom Odell and a couple of Eurovision entries make it in. Also Lukas Graham's only charting song lands here - quite the world away from their numerous #1s back in the day!

Really happy to see "Maman", "Bur Man Laimi" and especially "Wunderschön" on here!
The latter one was very surprising to see here!

Don't Cry, Put Your Head on My Shoulder is my favourite song to appear so far wub my favourite from this Tom era!

Glad you're a fan of these! I got 'Wunderschon' from an alternative chart I do with @Chrizly and a few others and quite liked it so it made it into my charts - thanks Sergej!

Glad you're a fan! It is a nice song, a lot more toned-down than a lot of his music but still sounds great. Thanks Joseph!

Thanks both! RÓA was indeed very catchy, one of the ones that certainly stuck in my head - definitely should have placed higher!

Right, let's get into the Top 100! Youtube links are there for all the songs so feel free to give them a listen.

100: Land of Color & Sarah Kroger - Again And Again

Which songs are just inside or outside the Top 100 is always an odd one, and I have made some interesting choices to keep this one in (especially now I realise Caleb Hearn missed out!) but it felt right to keep this one in. It's a lovely, fairly light song about God's patience, and it showcases Land of Color at their finest. At least it absolved them of one-hit-wonder status in my chart - their last big appearance was their #1 in 2021!

99: David Kushner - Breathe In, Breathe Out

I should probaby check if David Kushner has had any more songs out this year, but this is the only one I was actively aware of and it's a great song, combining his fantastically deep vocals together with a brilliant melody and some great instruments. Not quite sure what the music video with him sat in a massive egg-timer has to do with it though! It reached #5 in my chart just before Lent and is his second-highest charting hit to date (behind his Christmassy 'Empty Bench')

98: Circa Waves - Let's Leave Together

Another song which hit the higher end of my chart just before Lent, Circa Waves are experts at bringing out cheery indie-pop tracks and this one is no different. It's their third Top 10 hit in my chart, but the first one since 2020! So back with quite a bang.

97: Saint Etienne - Take Me To The Pilot

The last time Saint Etienne made my Personal Chart was 2018, but just like buses they've managed two songs in my EOY Top 100 this year! Take Me To The Pilot blends the unique vocals of Sarah Cracknell with a more house/dance production, creating something somewhat unique.

96: Cut Copy - Solid

It's also been a long time since Australian indie-pop outfit Cut Copy have made my charts, but just like Saint Etienne they've got two in this year! Solid was the first one that caught my attention and is quite stripped-back, but I think that works really well.

95: Alex Warren & Jelly Roll - Bloodline

Bloodline is the only Top 10 hit to make it into my EOY this year! It's Alex Warren at his best, focussing on the fact that you're not the sum of your parents and that generational trauma doesn't need to keep being passed down - something I think is very important to hear. Songs like this cut through the usual topics of chart music and really stand out, and having Jelly Roll on there helps as well.

94: Maali - Someday

Now of course you will have guessed that Maali is from... Croatia tongue I don't know enough about him to know where the name comes from! But this is quite different to anything else inside my Top 100, it's quite a jazzy song without too much of a defined melody that does make it an acquired taste, but it's worth giving a few listens. A debut appearance in my Top 100 for this guy.

93: Steve Queralt & Emma Anderson - Lonely Town

I can't quite remember where I heard this - in my head it was from a channel like bellaunion but thinking more it may well have just popped up in my YouTube recommendations. Either way it's a fantastic indie track that's full of guitars and synths, and the almost mysterious vocals work really well on it. I thought this would be the sort of thing that would be right up Buzzjack's street so decided to give it a search on the forum a month or so ago - and lo and behold, it's been sent to Nuggets! How it only finished 19th is beyond me though o

92: Benjamin William Hastings - if it wasn't for Jesus

Another Top 10 hit for Mr. Hastings - this is a lovely quiet song with just the guitar and his vocals for most of the track. The title basically says it all - it's a song talking about how grateful he is that Jesus is in his life and that he's not falling apart on his own.

91: James Bakian - At The Cross

James Bakian is another new name for this year - he seems to do both Christian and non-Christian music, but this one caught my eye as it's most certainly not run-of-the-mill Christian music, there seems to be some dark undertones in there and, whilst the song is unequivocally praising God, it's also touching a genre that Christian music doesn't often touch.

I was the person who sent 'Lonely Town' to Nuggets! Not the most spectacular finish indeed but I'm delighted to see it in an EOY countdown wub
