August 31Aug 31 Sadly the time is up for Novak now. When you're losing in the first round of a Slam there's no coming back from that, just ask Rafa. Also can't believe that the moment Alcaraz announced his return, Sinner pulled out. We've been robbed as tennis fans in 2026 of not seeing the only interesting rivalry in the sport right now.
August 31Aug 31 Novax being out in the first round is music to my ears Two weeks of rooting for Zverev to lose at some point because honestly, I don’t think Carlos is ready and I already live in denial that he won a GS this year because it’s the easiest run to a title anyone will ever have. But to block out two gets a bit harder.
September 2Sep 2 Katie Boulter has fallen 6-0 6-1 to Karolina Muchova and honestly it was a combo of the former having nothing working and the latter being in god mode. I would actually rather Katie have lost this way if it means Karolina can go far and even win this slam after missing out on her second final. Also shocked that Jodar is doing so badly! I had him down as a minimum QF with the form he’s been in!Great win for Fran though! Edited September 2Sep 2 by Doug
September 8Sep 8 Interesting that the Men's and Women's competitions have switched this year in terms of how things usually proceed with the top Men's seeds dropping like flies and the entire top 6 Women making the QFs.
September 9Sep 9 Shelton finally records a win over a top 3 player, knocking Alcaraz out of the US Open Guaranteed American in the final as well
September 9Sep 9 Ok that was a shock even if Carlos wasn't in tip top form. Still think Zverez clears up from here but if he doesn't it'll be the first year since 2014 that the 4 Slams were won by 4 different players.
September 13Sep 13 Rybakina now just one Roland Garros title away from a career grand slam! Something which Sabalenka will certainly never achieve.
September 13Sep 13 Oooh Ben Shelton has actually won a set in the final - hope he can push it to a 5th (not just because I find him stunning beautiful)
September 14Sep 14 Well it looks as if Zverev is now playing the Djokovic role to Sinner-Alcaraz's Federer-Nadal rivalry!
