October 11Oct 11 Hamilton was referred to the medical centre immediately after the race. I wonder if his condition impacted his decisions or his performance today.
October 13Oct 13 Author The government of Rwanda and Formula 1 have announced a 10-year deal for a new African Grand Prix in capital Kigali, which will first be held in 2030 at the earliest.F1 will head to a yet-to-be-built natural road course 40km south of Kigali, next to the Rwandan capital's under-construction Bugesera international airport. The first edition of the race, which is officially billed as 'Formula 1 African Grand Prix, presented by Visit Rwanda', could be held as early as 2030, depending on when construction of the track is completed.
October 13Oct 13 Kyalami I don't think is even grade 1 anymore, probably the government don't want to spend money to improve it's highly outdated facilities.Does make sense for the it to be held in the so-called Singapore of Africa!

The circuit is only Grade 2 but I believe FIA approved some planned upgrades what would push it into Grade 1 last year-ish... Not sure what happened with those plans though!
October 13Oct 13 I can see this going the same way as the Vietnam GP did. I'll wait before getting excited by the idea just yet.

October 16Oct 16 Author Rafael Camara will be joining Haas for next year, at least we're guaranteed at least one rookie on the grid in 2027.For the other seat, it's almost an certainty that Bearman will be in the other seat for an third season.
Wednesday at 11:585 days Formula 1: Races to return to standard distance in 2028 - BBC SportThankfully just one season of shenanigans then (for now...)
Sunday at 21:461 day Absolutely generational battle for P2 in the standings going on this season behind Kimi's domination.
Sunday at 22:251 day Presumably next week Kimi will win the title. This will mark the first time since the World Drivers Championship began that two different champions have indentified themselves by the indentically chosen, same forename. Kimi Antonelli and Kimi Raikonnen. Even though Antonelli's birth name is Andrea Kimi Antonelli he reserves Andrea for his personal life using Kimi as his 'racing name'.There has been Jack Brabham and Jackie Stewart (both christened John) and Jacques Villeneuve too. Also Mike Hawthorn (also a John) and Michael Schumacher. There was also Alan Jones and Alain Prost. And Jim (James) Clark and James Hunt but all of these preferred names were variants and not identical. The closest any driver has come to sharing the same birth first name as Antonelli is Niki Lauda, whose real first name was Andreas.
21 hours ago21 hr I also find it extremely bizarre that seemingly at this one race every season the stewards go absolutely crazy for no reason. The penalties for George and Ollie were ludicrous and then the one incident that genuinely did deserve a penalty (Albon's divebomb on Alonso) didn't even get investigated.
21 hours ago21 hr Yeah it felt like they were inconsistent Ok race I guess. Russell back to a really poor performance comparative to his team mateI love that Lewis is where he is based on consistency, rather than number of wins.Gutted for Hulk. Bogged down at the start and drove a great race to recover back to 11th. Actually low key love that Lawson-Gasly-Hulk has been the 9th to 11th for a lot of the recent races (with occasional cameos from others) I’ve lost track of the number of times I’ve needed a cold shower seeing Liam this weekend….but from a purely driving perspective, it seems ludicrous that he isn’t announced for next season yet
21 hours ago21 hr Yeah it's clear George has checked out for the season. Will probably finish 5th in the standings given how tight it is and how he's in the worst form. Mind you he does always go well at Vegas so that might be his one reprieve. If I had a quid for every time Audi has finished 11th this season I'd almost be able to afford a three course meal they've still got a semi-decent chance of overhauling Haas in the standings but it's getting painful now.
