Sunday at 18:212 days Harry has came back with something very different for him which for now is good as we don't really know what to expect for the rest of the album.
Sunday at 19:122 days Also Taylor swifts slop has made her the second youngest ever member of the songwriters hall of fame #justsaying Edited Sunday at 19:562 days by 777666jason
Sunday at 19:532 days I somehow doubt that decision was made on the basis of this particular album xx(also she's not the youngest, that was Stevie Wonder - but in any case apparently no one is even eligible to be inducted into it until 20 years after their first release so being the youngest inductee isn't really as much of a flex as it sounds, it just means they started young)
Sunday at 20:012 days Slop or no slop the numbers dont lie was record breaking , and softer drops if we being pedantic 🤣
Sunday at 20:072 days Ok but that's not what the discussion was about, I am mentioning it in contrast to Harry releasing something experimental because he can afford to as a big artist, Taylor not so much x
Sunday at 20:112 days Taylor has proven she can though she went from country to pop to folk back to pop and the public eaten it up She probably could get away with dance , rap could be interesting she has dabbled in rock a little bit
Sunday at 20:152 days Again I'm not bothered about 'the public eating it up', that had nothing to do with my post xFair point about her taking more of a risk with folklore/evermore (and I loved those albums!) but that's obviously not the space she's in right now.
Sunday at 20:192 days But it does though if the public doesn't eat it up its not a successful risk And the space shes in now is being happy and people say her music is shit because shes singing about finally being happy 🤣🤣
Sunday at 20:262 days Who is saying anything about 'successful risks'? The sole point of my post was comparing her current material being safe pop vs. Harry's being a more experimental song. I am down to keep replying to see how many more tangents you want to read into it though x
Sunday at 20:292 days She can sing about being happy, she has some great love songs but the writing on the recent album was certainly a choice. The previous album was bordering on cringe, this one went full tilt cringe
Sunday at 20:302 days The whole TTPD era was a risk 🤷🤣And that was barely 2 years ago 🤣 Edited Sunday at 20:322 days by 777666jason
Sunday at 20:422 days If we are being pedantic Harry's house safe and commercial was released in 2022, in that time she has released 3 brand new albums and 2 rerecords (you could argue the rerecords are risks in themselves shes the only one thats done it very successfully) Midnights, TTPD and TLOAS, Midnights a concept album, TTPD a huge risky album and TLOAS the "safe" album
Sunday at 20:502 days No where in your post does it say current album it could literally be referring to any of her albums , plus nearly every album post 1989 the critics pan initially before doing u turns even Taylor herself is aware of this ,Also im hoping the rest of the new harry album clicks because I actually do like a lot of his discography Edited Sunday at 20:512 days by 777666jason
Sunday at 20:542 days 6 minutes ago, JosephStyles said:Jason, sometimes it's easier to take the L Tbf its nice to have a conversation without someone referring to name calling 🤣🤣Gotta live up to my award of most enthusiastic 🤣🤣
Sunday at 20:552 days The key word was 'meanwhile' x (and I think it's obvious from context that I'm not randomly referring to folklore or whatever when I am mentioning her releasing an album of slop!)((but even if the context clues aren't enough, you're still bringing up tangents about her older albums after I posted multiple further times explicitly saying I'm only talking about the current one so no excuses xx))(((you bitch xox)))
Sunday at 20:562 days Maybe enough Taylor talk though for now given she’s not all that relevant to this week’s streaming charts. 🤷🏻♂️
Sunday at 20:572 days I'm having fun though :'((I do still like 'The Fate Of Ophelia' anyway as safe as it is x)
