Each week, 8 new releases are selected to go head to head, with one weekly winner which will then go up against future weekly winners later in the year at the end of each quarter of the year, and then again at the end of the year to determine the ultimate winner of 2026.

(I did vote before midnight, just typing up this post a bit late x)

Was a good start to the list minus Alan Walker who needs to stop making music (although in all seriousness this one was a little bit better than the last couple but still mid), Dusky pretty much always bring the tunes and no exception here plus Grum delivering a second banger in a row, the John Summit one is a little bit all over the place but I think it comes together quite well and the Lane 8 song is a nice chiller moment in this batch. MJ Cole sounds good in so much as it's literally just 'Sincere' again which is obviously a classic but unfortunately not feeling like Pink's contributions added much. The other two songs are both decent if bog standard for their respective genres.
