Saturday at 19:132 days Click above to see the very belated Q streak update for BJSC 181 which I've finally got done. Am currently in the process of updating my spreadsheet for this contest as well so will hopefully get the newest update posted today xx
Saturday at 22:021 day Qualification streak update (underlined nations have matched or beaten their longest streak to date, streaks that are longer when counting non-consecutive participations are in italics where applicable): 01 62 Hendinia (non-consecutive: 67) 02 27 Aeroche 03 24 Danæviia 04 19 Neliönoir 05 18 Cor Lupus 06 17 Kluminican Republic 07 10 Land of DW 07 10 Zanmatony 09 8 Mothertopia 09 8 POPHub 11 7 Fljótavík 12 6 Elëdan 12 6 Taahino 14 5 The Spodic Empire 15 4 Sovarasma 16 3 Dalisska 16 3 Yehesi 18 2 Baleghde 18 2 Bøtanikkä (non-consecutive: 3) * 18 2 Cheiron 18 2 Deandria 18 2 Dobago 18 2 Hushkanukia (non-consecutive: 3) 18 2 Jupiterdonia 18 2 Juranabaijan 18 2 Scotland 2 18 2 Summericia 18 2 Trifoski 29 1 Altyr Muunilinst 29 1 East Rukahavian 29 1 FARC 29 1 Freidland 29 1 FSR Rontvia 29 1 Harmonica 29 1 Lentyll 29 1 Lookylion 29 1 N DNTN 29 1 New Lexico 29 1 Ojnoj 29 1 Pagasa 29 1 Persephonia 29 1 Wholune xx (21) Greenfroze xx (8) Skall xx (8) Terra Avium xx (6) Pestolia xx (4) Séyetana xx (3) Cumulonimbia xx (2) Ajanaeda xx (2) Herbilore ** xx (1) Ben's Sanctuary xx (1) Jadakissnia xx (1) Lotunia xx (1) Thelonia ** xx (1) Zephyra Continuum* Bøtanikkä's mid-contest withdrawal from BJSC 180 is not counted as a DNQ for the purposes of this list** did not enter this contest so may resume a non-consecutive streak in the futureStill no change on the podium with Hendinia continuing to stretch their records to 62 consecutively and 67 non-consecutively, Aeroche carry on in 2nd and Danæviia in 3rd expanding their record to 24. We do lose the 4th member of the 20+ club as Greenfroze's epic run finally comes to an end, though Neliönoir are poised to replace them there next month as they expand their record to 19. Kluminican Republic's record expands to 17 while two more countries - Land of DW and Zanmatony - hit the 10 in a row mark with both also expanding current records. As Mothertopia also expand their record to 8, they rise into the top 10 alongside POPHub (with the top 10 now back to only containing 10 countries, as Skall and Terra Avium both lose their streaks along with Greenfroze). The Spodic Empire match their previous record of 5 in a row which they managed before with their very first 5 entries in BJSCs 152-156 (for the first two of which they were known as just Spod). Deandria make it 2 in a row to once again match their long standing record (achieved consecutively in BJSCs 17-18, 81-82, 98-99, 119-120 & 178-179 plus non-consecutively in BJSCs 93 & 96 and 105 & 107) - will it be 6th time lucky for them to make it 3 this time? Freidland and Lentyll also match previous 'records' of 1 as they hope to both get back-to-back qualifiers for the first time next month - Freidland's only previous qualifier was in BJSC 163, while Lentyll (fka New Rivermaya) previously made it in BJSCs 15, 22 & 180.
Saturday at 22:211 day surprising i'm at 15th with 4 consecutive Qs which is quite high for a rather low number! i guess the turnover is a lot in the last few editions?
Yesterday at 14:521 day Fun to see Land Of DW and Zanmatony making it a “calendar year” of 10 qualifications in a row. Much like Greenfroze, two countries who I feel like take quite a lot of risks on languages and different sounds that aren’t necessarily safe sounding qualifiers. Congrats guys 👏
