Alex Warren's first time going straight to A-list, we love to see it *.* certainly warren-ted!

It's a shame they're reluctant to move Leigh-Anne up to the B-list, especially on album release week.

I'm surprised they haven't added Lana's new one, maybe it's just too weird for them :/

There's a mammoth 17 songs on the A-list this week (two more than usual), not sure if it's intentional, or maybe 'Opalite' and/or 'Midnight Sun' were supposed to be removed?

Great to see RAYE and Alex Warren both straight on the A List. RAYE's song sounded fabulous when it was played on the Breakfast Show just now.

A pleasant surprise to see December 10's debut single, that one is really growing on me.

Ella Langley has defied the odds, but they had been spot playing it so it isn't a complete surprise in the end.

I like the FISHER track but didn't expect it to be added. There are some much stronger dance tracks around from the likes of John Summit, Kygo and Tiesto that probably could've been there instead.

Zara has been played on both shows this morning so Midnight Sun is definitely still there. Opalite has also been played once.

As much as I'd love them to playlist Kygo again, I think they've been done with him for a while sad

Thanks, knew it would be either her or Alex

Glad they have added Ella Langley, I could imagine it being one that stalls on B or something but I didn't think they'd be ignoring it entirely. Also woo for Milky on A and Bella and Danny up to B.

Heard the Alex song on Radio 1 this morning. It is certainly one of the songs of all time.

It was around this time last year that they started messing around with the number of songs on the playlist. Went from 15/15/12 to 15/14/10 - though I think at one point the C-list dropped to just 7 songs.

Glad to see Alex Warren and Raye insta added! I hope they both do well chart wise!

Also like December 10, FISHER, think ive not heard the rest or I dont know If I like some.

Why is December 10 before Charllote Day Wilson?

Good question, didn't even notice that. I presume my spreadsheet did something weird with the ordering :/ corrected now, thanks for spotting.

a little shocked katseye are already off after just a couple weeks on a list, gutted for madison beer and sasha keable cos they were such celebrated adds and only lasted 5 weeks :(

however super happy Raye and Ella are on

10 songs on the A List began their playlist life there - must be a record surely for R1?

There's no easy way of checking but yes I wouldn't be surprised if it was a record, since it's now more common than ever for songs to go straight to A-list!

Thanks for posting. I haven't thought about that Ruby Amanfu song since 2003, just listening to it now, only 29,000 streams on Spotify. The song was fairly heavily pushed at the time and just crept into the top 40. I didn't realise Radio 1 gave it good playlisting too.

I need to check that Zero 7 N.E.R.D remix, I can't recall that but sounds an interesting prospect.
