My little banner was made by me, with real fonts! (I know it looks kitsch). There is definitely way more AI art popping up in signatures though for sure.

I was just using it for a bit of fun to predict BJSC 183 that's all.

Is it so bad if it’s restricted to banners/art? I’d use AI to basically add text to a google image which doesn’t seem so offensive? 🫣

Honestly don’t worry Mack, loads of people have done the same in the last few months for fun - the horse racing analogies actually are enjoyable tbf but probably more fun attached to your own predictions and not the made up stuff from AI.

I really loved the fun original idea behind it with the sports commentary style.

It's an wide open contest with an host of chances from different countries that it would be 7/1 the favourite. Although one country has been backed from 66/1 to 25/1,.an massive gamble happening in East Rukahavian.

I'm sending hype to Ennea and FSR Rontvia to make it through to the final, and also hopefully Ben's Sanctuary too.

tbf philip did tell us to limit ai usage because it has led to forum downtime before 🫣

I’m not the best at art but I use Pixlr.com for adding fonts and editing images - it’s pretty quick and easy to do and you can save three images a day, and it has a wide range of free fonts!

Ironically it promotes itself as an AI editor but there are options to use it as a standard image editor without using the AI options (I think you have to pay credits to use those anyway).

I’ve learnt - largely through this forum and also my job - that AI comes with a lot of potential environmental issues (e.g. one prompt/query on ChatGPT = the equivalent energy and resources of 10-30 Google searches).

And also AI artwork doesn’t have the same personality or charm imo of designing it yourself.

I know we go round and round with the AI arguments on here but is just my 2ps worth.

If ChatGPT is gonna be used I'd rather see it produce silly odds and predictions rather than art purely for the chaos behind its "logic" when it comes to trying to predict something as everchanging as BJSC.

If you can't make banners etc yourself and don't want to ask someone on the site who is capable there are other options that don't use AI. I get the argument with using AI takes away opportunities for real people to be creative. PicMonkey is a great free tool you can use for graphics, even if you're a complete beginner (or do a bray and use paint xo)

I need to check out PicMonkey bc I’ve used BeFunky every time for graphics and I’m seeing it being brought up a lot here, how diverse is it in terms of tools?
