Maybe when you've done this awesome series you can show me what you would create as a "Best of" omissions from the whole series as a pretend spin-off compilation of 3, 4 or 5 discs maybe, I'd love to see your own personal highlights! Of course it would need to have monster hits like Mr. Brightside and Shape Of You on there!

Black Coffee would’ve been too old for Now 48. I’d have included it on 46 or 47 with Pure Shores on 45 or 46

I Think he’s making them as accompaniments to the actual Nows released. Therefore, Black Coffee would make sense being on 48 after Pure Shores was on 47.

That’s a brilliant idea mate! I’ll definitely do that once I’ve finished these. I’m also debating whether it’s worth doing any Now’s after 59, I know the omissions weren’t so glaring from Now 60 onwards but there’s still some great tracks that never appeared on a Now.

I think it would be worth doing Now 60 at least as there were still a fair few omissions there.

I know exactly which song you’re talking about! 😉 I was in a very awkward position when it came to Now 50, most the big songs were included as the Hits series allowed them to have some big names that didn’t usually appear so when I did my Now 50 draft it looked pretty weak, so I had to save some big tracks!

I was going to ask if the point of those was to display tracks that missed out? But I think I've answered my own question reading the discussion above. Some good selections

This is a great tracklist, when Now 50 was already very strong in itself, which tells me a lot about the strength of late 2001 charts.
