OK time to have topic on their merch. Let's make sure we talk about the merch that has been released since 2019 at least.

Back in 2020 they signed a huge deal with Bravado/Universal that was meant to capitalise on their new found interest following the 2019 tour.

Since then, they made massive deals and have released unforgivable amounts of merch on their official store/amazon store.

This is a list of merch released by the Spice Girls LTD company, Bravado in partnership with other brands. I am not going to keep tags on their historical partnerships, nor on their 'official store merch' cos otherwise I would loose it, it's too much!

2019 - Present day

The official merch partnerships include, among other things:

• Stance Socks

• LEGOs

• Red Roses, England Rugby

• Royal Mail Post Stamps

• Royal Mint Coins

• ASOS various tshirts and hoodies over the years

• Funko Pops - releasing this year

Out of those, so far, only the LEGOs seemed to sell pretty well (its basically sold out almost everywhere) and maybe the Stamps and the Coins did pretty well, selling out a few things. The socks and the Red Roses merch were seemingly huge flops...

Other than that, can we talk about the state of their official merch and music official store? Since their 2019 tour they have released so much to the point that seemingly even their most hardened fans have become immune to them lol

While initially it seemed like all the tour and Spice25 released merch was selling pretty well, it all came to a slight hault when you could get similar items on street-corner shops for cheaper prices (and better quality!), while they flooded the market with 'special merch' for every single anniversay, from Wannabe to Say You'll Be There, to Too Much, to Stop, Viva Forever...

It was overkill. Specially when it seemed like they only cared for the merch and the music was once again taking a major back seat.

Now look at the state of their webstore:

It's sad as hell. It seems like for the past four years nothing has sold out apart from a couple of items here and there, and they are all still overpriced

All the Forever25 and Spiceworld25 music is still wildely available there... like are they really expecting fans to buy a Spiceworld25 vinyl for €40 after 4 years with no discount at all?... Are they nuts?

The Red Rugby Roses merch was such a flop and they still have Say You'll Be There 25, era jumpers there in fact most of the 2022 Spiceworld tshirts and jumpers merch is still there and wildely available...

I understand why they didn't do any Christmas merch last year, since even their last Christmas jumper from 2024 is still available lol...

Every now and then they do a 10% off special promo but 10% is f*** all lol... I don't get why Universal/Bravado don't do an overall like 40% off everything special for the summer to get rid of it all???

• The Lego Set

• Stamps: the Presentation Pack

• The Baby and Scary Say You'll Be There Crewneck Jumpers

• The original black Spiceworld hoodie (seemingly the last great quality merch item they released lol)

• 2019 tour tshirt (the one with tour dates on the back)

• The standard Spice Girls Coin

And nothing else 😅

I got the black Spiceworld hoodie and a Sporty T-shirt from the tour and that is it. Not interested in any of the rest of it.

My husband bought me the Little Miss books which I gave to my friends daughter as she loved them.

Funko Pops designs are out there (saw them on Spice Circle). They are in the Wannabe clothes/style.

I would say that they are fun. I might get Emma and Mel B, probably Vicky as well. It's waaaay better than the lego's specially the Victoria ones.

I dont want to spend a shit tone of money on their merch, although I would probably end up buying the full set eventually lol

I'm not really a fan of the Funko Pops, don't get the big deal about them but the Victoria one with the pose is really cute!

Funko pops do look cute but I can never justify the price of what they essentially are , and I only ever buy them if they are going cheap on a sale 🤣

I think it is for 30 years of Wannabe, presume they want to make it a series. The Say you'll be there and Spice up your life ones would be amaaaazing. Plus imagine if they did the Viva Forever fairies.

I'm not even buying them and I'm still abuzz with all the ranges they could do lol.

Sometimes female music artist funkos are given mouths (either closed-together lips, or smiles). The Britney and Mariah Funkos always do:

But more often than not, Funkos don't tend to have mouths. I wonder whether the Spice Girls funkos would have benefited from them, or are better without? It's definitely more "classic Funko" design of them to lack mouths.
