Each week, 8 new releases are selected to go head to head, with one weekly winner which will then go up against future weekly winners later in the year at the end of each quarter of the year, and then again at the end of the year to determine the ultimate winner of 2026.

Becky Hill's comeback single, her first release as a lead performer since 2024 album 'Believe Me Now?', gives her another victory here. So far it doesn't look to be returning her to the official chart and one may fear she's been away from the spotlight a bit too long for it to impact. Whilst this may've been the predictable win, it was not without a fight as Madeon placed only one vote behind with 'Fire Away'. It is the third release from his forthcoming third album and most popular so far with the assistance of Buzzjack pop fave Slayyyter.

A certain someone releasing means this week may well be a forgone formality (none of his lead performer singles since the series began have ever not won) but as always we have eight songs for you to choose from...
