Take me for a ride

• I really enjoy the 80’s vibe of the track.

• It was a little bit new for them soundwise.

• Not the obvious first single for the WTFH era.

• Though video is not Steptacular, I really like the styling and Faye looks stunning in my opinion.

• I wish they made some more tracks on the album that sounded like this one.

• It’s not their wordt charting single.

Thoughts? And share your underrated Steps single in here as well ❤️

I love it one of my fave tracks by them 🥰. How do you know it’s not their worst charting single, it didn’t chart?

I heard Take Me For A Ride the other day and I enjoyed it more than I remembered enjoying it before.

I think it suffered from being the lead single when there were stronger options. If it had’ve been a second or third single I think people would be more warm towards it.

It was a solid album opener although I’ll admit it never reached the peak of other lead singles for me. The video reminded me so much of Something In Your Eyes

My underrated song (depending on how you define that) is Words Are Not Enough. 15 year old me adored that song/video and at the time it felt like the perfect song to go out on. I know people don’t really like it but it’s always held a special place in my heart

My underrated singles from them is After The Love Has Gone and Here And Now.

That is such a beauty of a song. I’m glad it’s been remembered as a great song - and yeah at the time I wish it had charted higher

I think from their older material stomp is often overlooked amongst the fan base.

Since they reformed everything is overlooked but i would say Neon Blue.

Definitely so which is strange as they only had 2 number 1s and it was one of them, i love it myself and it does seem to have grown on people more in the later years.
