It has been reported that two brides on Channel 4’s hit TV show “Married At First Sight” UK were reaped by their on-screen husbands during the filming of the show. A third bride has also spoken out, and said that her on-screen husband did a non-consensual sex act towards her. All three of the brides have said that the show didn’t do enough to protect them. Channel 4 has removed the show from its streaming service, and other streaming services that have the show on. The three women have said:

  1. The first bride said that her on-screen husband had raped her and threatened her with an acid attack. She’s threatening legal action against CPL Productions.

  2. A second bride was raped by her on-screen husband, and told Channel 4 and CPL Productions about it before her episodes were aired. Her episodes were aired, anyway.

  3. The third bride accused her on-screen husband of performing a sex act on her without her consent.

  • There's whispers that C4 is going to be axing the upcoming series of MAFS UK

  • As awful as it is. Im suprised its taken as long as it has for something like this to happen , the whole concept is very strange and dangerous in itself

I couldn't care less about the show as it is utter drivel, but to hear those poor women have been through that is horrendous. I hope they report it to the police and not just filing against Channel 4, the men deserve criminal charges if this has happened. 😔

Absolutely awful, iirc there was whispers of this a while ago but nothing came of it, I think it was one of the same sex couples a few years ago. It’s worrying that this could just be scraping the surface

I've only briefly watched the show but it felt a bit "wild west" at times. Sailing very close to the wind.

With what I've seen, I felt like it was only a matter of time before there'd be a scandal of sorts.

Honestly not surprised. Having strangers move in together and act like a married couple, is dangerous by itself.

'The more you push boundaries the more incidents might happen no matter what you do' said one of the persons working on the show. Then just don't push boundaries if its going to lead to something like this like wtf? I hope they get cancelled. Clearly they don't care about their contestants. Even filming after one of the women came forwards!
