Making thread for this as I couldn’t see one previously!

Album OUT July 24th! I presume we may get some promo and live performances with her supporting Harry Styles for the London shows but excited to see what she brings! I saw Shania in vegas so I’m hyped for new music from her.

A chart battle with Charli too on release week!

In regards to her debut album though she pretty much erases that from her discography due to it bar one track essentially being a covers album! A Shania rate would be a good idea if there was enough

The album got to #131 in the US, was that expected 😮

I gave the new song a listen the other day and went down a bit of a rabbit hole. I cannot believe how much I dislike her stuff after Come on over!? The Come on over album is my favourite of all time and follow ups just don't live up to it at all. 🫢

An exclusive UK/IE CD version including a second disc with 10 of her Greatest Hits available on her store with a signed insert here.

If This also goes to streaming it might keep it on the charts for a few weeks! Good move but may ask help the physical sales too!

Come On Over is amazing! Up had some soog moments though.

The album before Come on Over (The Woman In Me) is also pretty decent too.

I really feel like her health issues, Lyme disease and her being completely stripped of her voice in what was a peak period for her truly made us lose out on so much! But I’m happy she’s thriving, looking great and I do think her voice is decent these days too she sounded really good in Vegas early last year.

Hope the album gives her another top 5 here in the UK (I’d say #1 but she’s against Charli in week one)!

New songs are ok. But yeah bless her, her voice is barely there these days. She still sounds decent on some of the acoustic versions of songs she’s been doing though

Really curious about how this is going to do, the album was better than I expected but I feel there is zero hype this era. She’s only #4 on iTunes even

The Harry shows must’ve given some form of pre orders boost or made people aware that a new album was coming?!

I think she should be set for top 5!

I gave this a listen on my weekly Saturday long walk today and found it pretty strong! It’s got some pretty personal lyrics but it’s got some of that personality what’s in the Come on Over / UP albums. An enjoyable listen.

I've always really enjoyed Come On Over, Up! and most of Now ('All in All' from the Deluxe version is probably one of my favourite songs of hers). I don't remember much about the self-titled but I don't remember disliking it or anything, same with The Woman in Me. I didn't like Queen of Me 🙁

Curious to listen to this one soon, I wasn't really interested at all but my best online friend really liked it so now I'm more curious haha. #peerpressure?

This is a lot more in the vein of Come on Over and Up were I’d say off first listen! It’s definitely a strong listen and her voice sounds pretty decent on the ballads of the album too.

Oh yes, I forgot about it mostly being a covers album. I've only listened to it in full twice, did a quick scan on my last.fm and saw that I gave it one listen in 2020 and another one in 2024 haha. Shania felt like the kind of artist who I wanted to check out all her early stuff (even in general, I like diving into entire discographies a lot).

I gave Little Miss Twain a listen now and it was nice, I quite enjoyed it but I did find myself getting a bit bored towards the end. But then the last track 'Rockstars' was real nice. 'Problematic' was perhaps another highlight upon first listen.

I agree that her voice sounds pretty good here.
