Kolter’s ‘Trapped’ is a proper deep house roller. Currently Jam Hot on Capital Dance and climbing the streaming /sales charts. It flips the vocals from Colonel Abrams’ 1985 classic, mixing the legendary hook with Kolter’s modern club sound. From his 'What Did You Come For ?' EP on Koltrax.

Its quite good I suppose but the original Col. Abrams song is better.

Enters at #88 in the UK singles chart.

Kolter has just dropped his new release on Positiva, arriving while his current hit "Trapped" is still enjoying major success.

It clearly samples a classic track, although I can't remember which one.

It's Jazzy Dee - Get On Up from 1983. It has been sampled a few times over the years but nothing that's come to wild success.

Do you remember the version of "Trapped" that the Belgian act The Subs released back in the 2010s? Absolutely sublime. Far superior to Kolter's version, which actually sounds very 2010s piano house.
