This is SO “I’m In Love With A Monster” by Fifth Harmony.

Happy to see them break out of their “singing nonsense” for a song (I say despite loving Pinky Up but for variations sake) but this is quite the pivot into quite an anonymous vibe. The Ed Sheeran co-write goes some way to explaining it though.

All this being said, it is a cute pop song and I do like it but yeah… doesn’t help me work out their direction as a group.

Unfortunately I kinda don't like it and the MV feels cluttered. It sounds very album track to me rather than a comeback. I feel like there was space for big vocal moments we don't get.

Tbh more than anything this sounds like a solo that was repackaged as a group song.

Echoing RobBots comment that at least it’s a bit more “normal” for them rather than some absolutely gobby trash.

However, in saying that, it just becomes all the more forgettable as there’s nothing really that exciting to it, Oop.

I heard this and thought the exact same about the 5H song.

I was excited about them doing something melodic again but it's very basic and juvenile sounding. It does just sound like a throwaway release for a kids film.

Maybe I should've been more grateful for Pinky Up and Internet Girl 🤣

At least we have Iconic by Mistake which is the best of the lot by far!

This is really mid, and yet STILL washes all 3 of their recent singles. I generally liked them before this but now i find myself dreading every time they release anything
