September 9Sep 9 Managed to get tickets to their tour today for the London July 2027 date. It's going to be a surprise for my mum's upcoming birthday as she's recently become a fan of them. Looking forward to it and this album coming out in a few weeks.

September 29Sep 29 Author Next week’s chart position will be interesting - hopefully they can get another Top 20!
September 30Sep 30 Ooh those trip-hop drums are right up my streetfeeling very well fed by Irish rock bands today after catching up on the new Gilla Band and Gurriers albums too
Thursday at 23:423 days Yeh Japan top of most of the indie playlists and Tongue highest on the main pop playlist albeit at 15. So the Rosalia song doesn’t seem to be being pushed too much.

Friday at 10:203 days Wow this album is fantastic! I love the generally dark, enticing, often cinematic direction they've gone for this time.I was excited to hear 'Six Shot Morning' following live performances of it and that did not disappoint as an opener <3 really loved that and 'Mimesis' from the front half, the bass on the latter is very New Order.I didn't think it was possible for me to adore 'Where Is Gone?' even more than I already do but it really shines in the context of the album. The second half is so strong that I'm not even too mad about 'Japan' getting the focus track push over Fontalía. 'Intimate'... whew what a closer.Glad they're so popular now that some of these tracks will actually be in the top 40 🤩
Friday at 11:213 days ‘Mimesis’, ‘You Miss Me’ and ‘Intimate’ are my early highlights. Looks like they haven’t really decided on what song to really push. I had expected it to be ‘Where Is Gone?’, but perhaps they don’t think it’ll stick as well with it being so different. ‘Mimesis’ is probably the most radio ready.
