  • I'm sorry but "I rebuke you, Satan" truly is an all timer Big Brother quote. I can't actually believe how iconic this series is turning.

  • So much to dissect but that is one of the best Big Brother episodes of all time. We are SO back! Everyone is giving something as well (minus Harry tbh lol)

I didn't actually post much on this thread throughout the series, but yeah, the most I've been attached to Big Brother in YEARS. I'm glad it was the length it was - 8 weeks was perfect, anything more and I think I'd have started to hate them all but the casting was superb. And I even mean the people I didn't like. It's definitely proof that we need AT LEAST five people over the age of 40 in every season.

It's obviously a shame that such a good series is marred by the reality that a transphobe, a racist, an ableist and a bully won, and definitely speaks to the state of our nation BUT I know that the series has delivered more than enough moments and iconic housemates that that won't override how fondly I look back at the series as a whole in years to come.

Yeah, that was a damp squib of a reunion. I have no doubt there was material that WAS good in there, and there's surely no way they didn't discuss the microaggression stuff at all given that was the biggest talking point of the whole series. But it seems clear that ITV are steering well clear of anything that reminds people of Rochelle's racism.

So pointless.

And I don't see why they're bothered about continuing to protect Rochelle. She's won, who cares now? It's not going to influence anything. They completely glazed over anything substantial - the micro-aggressions, Omar's behaviour towards Rhianna and the impact that had both in and out of the house, and so much more (instead spending more time weirdly honing in on Lynx's confrontational behaviour with Jedward).

This has been a great series, is marred by such a horrific winner so wouldn't proclaim this as the best series of the ITV era, that belongs to 2023 to me but this sure won't be forgettable like the last two seasons were.

Will always seems to be on the side of awful people, I’ve noticed it since the beginning of the ITV era.

It’s his job as a journalist to push both sides, he isn’t taking sides.
