Sunday at 00:043 days Also, I do think the reason the individual Spices have not acknowleged it at all is because they themselves are only involved to the point of signing it off to go ahead. They are clearly not involved in this at all as a group. This is a record label-iniciative. And we know they dont have the best relationship with the band anyway...
Sunday at 00:423 days The fact the girls signed off on a poor quality version of Do You Think About Me is embarrassing. Melanie C can’t say crap about b-sides are b-sides for a reason anymore. There’s no excuse for not cleaning up DYTAM for this release. The expensive price point has also been heavily criticized. Most casuals are baffled at why it’s so expensive when they are just repackaging old music everyone already has. UMG made a huge miscalculation by releasing a teaser for this collection. They should have just announced the collection instead of teasing it. There is a positive take away from this announcement disaster. It shows they have a huge casual fan base and can still attract worldwide coverage. Not many music acts can say that after 30 years. They need to get the movie on streaming ASAP. I don’t know how many comments mentioned how badly they wanted it on a streaming service. I don’t see any of the girls promoting this release now due to the backlash. Their comments section will be filled with negative comments.
Sunday at 06:132 days Yeah I agree that the mailer teaser was ultimately ill-advised, for the furore it has ultimately caused! I also agree that they probably should have just announced the box sets out of the blue, with full details, the day before making the pre-orders go live. Then no one would have had room to be confused and they could have just been like "meh, this is not for me" and move on, rather than get upset that it wasn't what they thought it was going to be (a tour).I think that the image used in the mailer was cute for the fans who know stuff about Spice Girls lore (i.e. it being a recreation of an ad in The Stage). Maybe it was too subtle for the average person with only a casual interest in Spice Girls. I still think it was somewhat "2+2=5" to land on "omg they're touring!!" off the back of that though. I think most of us big fans had a good idea of what this teaser would end up being about, based on the hints in the mailer. For one, we know that a brand new album from the Spice Girls is extremely unlikely... so the "are you a collector"/"you will need a vinyl or CD player" really seemed to point to a retrospective release rather than it being something new.If anyone thinks that these releases are far too expensive for what they are, then of course that's fair to say. Also deciding not to buy them because of this is also very valid! However I don't believe there was a likelihood that Universal would have justified a lower price point at pre-order and still consider it wise to commission what is really a niche/fan-service product.Oasis released a 4x 7" vinyl singles box set last year. It's currently £79.99 (HMV and Amazon UK), and seemingly the cheapest it's been sold for "as new" is just under £60. The Spice Girls' 14x 7" vinyl singles box set is priced at £180 (as a minimum RRP). To me, this doesn't seem out of step in the current market for releases like this. It is expensive, I wouldn't try to claim that this is some kind of bargain (it's money for old rope, mostly!). Nowadays though, items like this are almost always really pricey. Like I wrote before, I was surprised to see that the prices weren't as high as I feared they could be.P.S. These are the mock-ups of the artwork with hype stickers:Also I don't recall seeing the vinyl track lists being posted here:Tracklist:1. Wannabe / Bumper To Bumper2. Say You'll Be There (Single Mix) / Take Me Home3. 2 Become 1 (Single Version) / One Of These Girls4. Mama (Radio Version) / Who Do You Think You Are (Radio Version)5. Step To Me (7” Mix) / Move Over6. Spice Up Your Life (Stent Radio Mix) / Spice Invaders7. Too Much (Radio Edit) / Outer Space Girls8. Stop / Ain't No Stopping Us Now (Featuring Luther Vandross)9. Viva Forever (Radio Edit) / Viva Forever (Tony Rich Remix)10. Goodbye (Radio Edit) / Christmas Wrapping11. Holler (Radio Edit) / Let Love Lead The Way (Radio Edit)12. Tell Me Why (Radio Edit*) / If You Wanna Have Some Fun (Radio Edit)*13. Headlines (Friendship Never Ends) / Wannabe (Soul Seekerz Radio Edit)14. Do You Think About Me (Demo)** / 2 Become 1 (Demo)**A bit of a pity that Baby Come Round and Walk of Life couldn't be included because of time constraints of this format. Technically they could have squeezed Mama and Who Do You Think You Are onto one side, but that would have sacrificed sound quality. (Not forgetting Sleigh Ride, but I'm less fussed about that being omitted x)
Sunday at 08:142 days My Strongest Suit is still left in dust after all these years. Could have added that to Goodbye single. That song deserves to be a sequel to Stop.
Sunday at 08:172 days On 11/09/2026 at 04:06, Mr.X said:The main criticisms are the design - why are they using the same company that did the campains for Charli XCX and Madonna but the most they come up with is this black & white branding? Awful... I don't think it matters too much on the box sets themselves but the merchandise looks terrible... It could have been a much more interesting campaign. Madonna's was full of Pink and Yellow, Charli's ofcourse was that specific shade of Green. All of these colours were so impactful and properly representative of their branding. But the Spice Girls have black&white?? please...Oh yeah, I don't see they did anything to the design at all! Money well spent...
Sunday at 08:302 days Do you think they will release anything on the 20th anniversary of GH (same year as Spiceworld 30). Since it looks likely, they will make Spice World available on streaming next year, Universal should make a push for the GH20 too since I don't think they have enough material for Spiceworld 30. CD11 - 15 Same tracklist+ Add Step to me before Spice Up Your Life+ Add NGUOTGT (New remix?) after Viva Forever+ Tell Me Why (single edit) after Holler+ If You Wanna Have Some Fun (single edit)+ Wannabe/ SUYL (Olympic Remix) to end the albumCD2Touch Demo + Spice Demo + Spice World track from the movie (sound off) + Forever Pop tracksCould help push the GH sale to a million unit sooner in the UK.

The CD version itself is the most expansive and it is already expensive as hell too but at least it has 160 tracks to it across 14 CDs and extras. In this economy, it is just too much to ask for right now...

In your suggestion, which I am of the opinion should happen as well, you are technically adding 5 tracks to the original 'main album' tracklist. Not as bonus or an extra CD but on the main tracklist of the album.
Sunday at 17:072 days That artwork is giving me low effort, no budget, that will do just fine energy. I don’t collect vinyl, but the artwork is so plain and boring. What fan would want to display that?
Monday at 00:472 days Maybe something more along these lines? With different pictures of the girls in the letters rather than the 'Spice' album images to make it more unique!
Monday at 08:351 day I kind of wish that Viva Forever's CD & 7" track lists had included Never Give Up on the Good Times as its pseudo B Side, as a nod to it originally being intended as a Double A Side single! I would have preferred that over the inclusion of the Tony Rich remix on the vinyl tbh. Plus it's obviously such a gem in their catalogue - I think it deserved an inclusion in the box sets, alongside Step to Me/Move Over/Tell Me Why/If You Wanna Have Some Fun as non-singles. Plus it's their most streamed album track.
Monday at 09:541 day In a way they are telling us that it was never considered to be a single with Viva Forever
Monday at 10:341 day Even the box set cover is really boring and lacks color. It would’ve made so much more sense to use the iconic colors in each letter, matching each Spice Girl. So I had a bit of fun making my own little collector’s edition version, the way I would’ve imagined it.
5 hours ago5 hr What I don’t understand is that, considering how iconic the Spice album cover is, with each of the girls inside each letter — I mean, it’s basically part of their identity — how is it that everything they’ve done post-Forever (GH, Headlines, and now this) hasn’t used a photo of each of them inside the letters?I honestly just can’t understand it. For example, with the GH, why didn’t they use their individual photos in the letters? It would have made so much sense.Anyway… once again, it feels like they’re doing something with very little effort. We want the girls!! Why they don’t understand
