October 7Oct 7 I'm at least intrigued by this given SO CLOSE TO WHAT was pretty decent and all the deluxe tracks were surprisingly rather good so hopefully she'll keep getting better!

Yesterday at 00:091 day Author lyrics not as bad as i thought but this is just ok, honestly quite forgettable and doesn’t feel like a big lead single. I’d be shocked if this sticks around
20 hours ago20 hr I don’t know if I’m getting older now but I don’t quite feel fully sold here?! I don’t feel fully onboard with the song but visually it all feels similar and ofc she can dance but there’s not really a major USP to Tate what sets her apart from the rest sonically. Like her songs could all be by anyone?!
16 hours ago16 hr Author Debuted at #30 on US Apple Music 👀 Also made #35 on the global chart with just a few hours so this is going to at least have a big first day
16 hours ago16 hr yeah this (hopefully) won't outstream expectations but it could've been a potential #1 contender without it - Tate's built a surprisingly large general public fanbase over the last few years (even a TIT FOR TAT-size debut would challenge for Hot 100 #1 given the charts are weaker rn)
15 hours ago15 hr I like the vibe of the song and the video is nice too but overall not wowed like most of her other stuff. Should have no problem being a decently sized hit though.
2 hours ago2 hr Agreed about the instrumental giving “Maneater” at times but the song actually reminds me more of “Glamorous”, particularly the middle 8 which is even melodically very similar to the “I got problems up to here…” part of Glamorous. It didn’t wow me on first listen but I just watched the music video and it felt immediately better. Feels very summery though for an October release that I fear is about to get lost in the sea of Christmas coming up.
