Sorry to ask further questions but did any Dogrel singles get playlisted? Always remember being frustrated that they struggled to break the B List for the first 2 albums.

Only 'Boys In The Better Land', but it was B-listed

tbf their whole discography (including live shows) is PWYW on Bandcamp so you can just download it for free and use local files on your app of choice if you want (you could buy some of them though, they have some good albums!)

It's also still on most streaming services anyway - it's only Spotify that they boycotted.

Thought so! Although I was wondering if I'd just heard it on Annie Mac and got mixed up.

Was that from Dogrel? I was going by Wikipedia which lists it as a non-album single! (must stop treating Wiki as gospel lol)

It definitely is on 'Dogrel', no clue why Wikipedia doesn't consider it to be a single from the album (it's not listed on the album's page either). How bizarre x

Wikipedia is terrible for telling you what was and wasn't a real single etc. The editors don't know the difference between official ones and promo ones/buzz tracks.

Yes but this is even weirder because it is listed as a single but labelled as being a non-album single despite being on the album lol

The confusion maybe comes from the fact that ‘Liberty Bell’ was one of their first single releases before Dogrel had been fully created.

At any rate thabks for the info and good to see Dogrel got some type of promo on R1 in 2018/19.

Keep the 32 County Love Train going!!!

Thought there were done with Jamie T so good to see him on, quite a decent tune, better than 3310 anyway.

His new songs sound decent in the context of the album.

I am way behind with new albums but made a huge list of them on my spreadsheet, I reckon Xmas will be a good time to get through them!

Too busy with the singles (not just daytime radio stuff but all sorts) and throwback autumn playlists.

Fontaines #5 better be good as that is some raging hype and lots of people weirdly typing the same phrase!

It’s pretty accurate depending on what your tastes are, like Romance but more moody and less commercial.

Am looking forward to listening!

Expecting a lot of atmospheric stuff that sounds great on an autumn night judging by the three tracks I've heard so far.

Pretty, pretty good this song, can see it growing on me massively.

I was surprised when they supported him in 2022, nevermind 2026!

Imagine being the bloke at Radio 1 who sits there deciding who is and isn't relevant after 10-20 years.

Guessing it's the Head of Music who's about 52 himself, name rhymes with 'Miss Rice'.

I remember when an insider who worked on nighttime but had a say in the playlist told me that they were told The Vaccines weren't "really relevant anymore" back in 2021 yet they started a long time after Jamie T and have had quite a few very anthemic songs that would have been perfectly fine on R1 since.

Heartbreak Kid is mint, for instance.

They can't just go on chart positions with most indie acts when deciding what to playlist as the vast majority don't touch the Top 100.

It was good but very surprising when they brought my mates Everything Everything (the only band I personally know) back a few years ago as it wasn't like they were setting the charts on fire although Cold Reactor went semi-viral I was told.

But the Jamie T song is pretty fiery, powerful and has lots of R1 energy, can see why they've gone for it.

Some guitar acts sound like they can barely stand up after 40, he's definitely still got the passion he had two decades ago.
