playing the full version of Thriller rather than an abridged edit 😮

is the Halloween surge going to creep across October now like Christmas does through December (and November)? hopefully not

Minus the long buildup intro...

talk all over the Vincent Price section of Thriller Jack !

shocked they made a radio edit for this one given its lyrics aren't exactly radio-friendly!

song's fine enough I guess, sounds like discount early-PARTYNEXTDOOR (not a bad thing, but nothing special either)

On Radio 1Xtra they're calling this Breakin' Windows, surprised they haven't done the same here!

they have found a version of Shotta's to play.

Well done to whoever at Radio 1 made this edit

Biography

Alex Warren stepped out from behind the phone and into the recording studio to introduce his passionate, ultimately chart-topping singer-songwriter pop. After founding the TikTok collective Hype House, Warren turned from his patented prank videos to music. By 2021, he was crafting quivering, sensitive, confessional pop tunes that slather his open-hearted melodies with layers of gossamer electronics, providing Warren with an avenue to process the trauma of losing both of his parents at an early age. The California native charted abroad in early 2024 before making his Billboard Hot 100 debut with "Burning Down" from his debut EP, You’ll Be Alright, Kid (Chapter 1). In 2025, Warren landed a global smash hit with "Ordinary", included on his full-length debut You'll Be Alright, Kid, which added 11 songs to the initial EP and features collabs with ROSÉ and Jelly Roll. - Apple Music

Biography

"Mi Chico" is a song by Romanian musician DJ Goja, released by American media company Gamma on 27 March 2026. A version featuring American singer Jason Derulo and Brazilian singer Melody was released on 26 June 2026. Goja told the Romanian radio station Kiss FM that the idea for the song had come to him whilst he was working on children's music projects, explaining that he wanted to combine Afrobeats sounds with the structure of children's music, which is characterised by easy-to-remember and repetitive lyrics. Goja chose a title in Spanish because, in his view, that language evokes a summery atmosphere. His recent interest in Afro house inspired the songwriting process for the track, for which he wanted to create a song that makes people want to dance whilst also resonating emotionally with listeners. Following the viral success of the original song, American singer Jason Derulo congratulated Goja on Instagram, and Goja then suggested they produce a new version of the track. Derulo liked the idea and they then worked together for two weeks. Ahead of its release, the new version was promoted on TikTok via a teaser featuring a dance routine, which had generated more than 250,000 creations prior to the release date. The new version was released on 26 June 2026, featuring Derulo and Brazilian singer Melody. The release was accompanied by a music video filmed in Paris, France. Directed by French filmmaker and choreographer Kevin Bago, it features Goja, Derulo, Melody and a troupe of 30 dancers, including the duo Les Twins. - Wikipedia

Biography

“I believe the best songs are written after the best living’s done,” Zach Bryan told Apple Music. It’s clear from Bryan’s body of work that he’s already lived plenty; judging from how prolific he is, he has a lot of living left to do, too. With his sparse, impassioned country music, the singer-songwriter is a 21st-century torch-holder for three chords and the truth. Born in Japan to US Navy parents in 1996, he grew up in Oologah, OK, and started writing songs as a teenager that were steeped in the diverse Red Dirt music traditions of his home state. On leave from his own Navy service in Florida, he recorded his 2019 debut, DeAnn, named after his late mother, and established himself as a poignant lyricist and powerful singer. Two years later, those gifts earned him his Grand Ole Opry debut, a swift rise buoyed by resonant songs about love and loss that eschew country-radio tropes to view life through a clear lens. Bryan made his major-label debut in 2022 with the triple album American Heartbreak. He followed with a leaner, self-titled full-length the next year as well as 2024’s The Great American Bar Scene and became a stadium and festival headliner along the way. His sixth studio album, 2026’s With Heaven on Top, added several more gritty and emotionally resolute notches to his prodigious catalogue. - Apple Music
