But most of the days were in 2007.... it didn't start on the 31st of December, that's just its date... Every year we have one more chart after the Christmas week. Leona released her single to grasp the Christmas sales which means that the following week must have reflected sales from the period after Christmas but still before the New Year, so it is counted as 2006 without a shadow of a doubt :)

Every song from any album can nowadays enter the Top 200 of the singles chart. This week we have 5 Mika's songs inside. However his album's downloads are irrelevant in this case, because albums' downloads (when you download the whole record) are counted towards the albums chart while the singles chart is only affected when you download a particular song. None of Mika's album's downloads have contributed to his 5 songs charted this week in the singles Top 200. These songs were separately downloaded.

When you think the artist is good enough you buy the whole package (digital or CD) and it charts on the album charts, but if you only like one song or think it´s discartable stuff you just download or buy the single, and counts towards the singles chart - easy like that. Otherwise, all sales from physical albums should contribute to the chart placing of a contained single, and that would turn the chart into chaos.

February 15, 200719 yr oh never mind - for me its just the same... 1. you download a whole package with 12 songs (or whatever) like for example a .zip file or 2. you download the songs separately, one by one. For me there's a big difference

Not really because in the second option you don't necessarily have to download ALL the tracks. You just download the ones you like. Therefore it makes sense that these count towards a single song popularity chart.
