But that's applicable to most indie bands around, they release songs far too similar to their previous hit. For dance artists, it normally works because you get a hit again. And dance has never been about albums anyway, the market for dance albums is the compilation sector.

Well maybe it's similar sometimes but not that much and you don't get songs that sound completely the same! (Well not that I can name anyway) There have been dance artists in the past where I imagine them playing with one of those keyboards where you press one key and it plays a demo and they think "first single" *press one key* "second single" *presses key next to it*

There is Sash! though who had some really great tunes in the 90's

American music is - by a majority - rubbish and uninspired. The UK has been producing some real serious and individual talent over the past 12 months and Americans give us AKON!!!

I prefer Akon to the 'origninal' stuff though

Oh dont talk c**p,

So your saying people like Norah Jones and Katie Meula are more EXCITING then Akon?

You do realise Borah Jones is American, right? (And Katie Melua is technically from Georgia).

So it's not just me then? :cheer:

Akon brings out such mixed opinions every week

Don't forget to vote in the Hate Chart in Personal Charts, so you can express your opinion :P

Of course the UK has provided some tosh, but I think the American music industry is much more notorious for providing music with a lot less depth and substance. Bands like Sci. Sisters (althoug I don't really like them) and The Killers are obvious exceptions, it's their tired cliched urban boredam that I resent.

Norah Jones is American ;)

America gives us The Killers etc. yes but mostly rubbish other than that :(

This has done MUCH better than I expected
